Sorry, but the black from the iPhone 5 is far more aesthetic. I'm really not a fan of all these muted colors for the 5S gen. This must be easier to manufacture, or is less prone to scratching...

No Gold?! It won't match my iPhone D: What will the fashion police say

Lol, next time don't only look at the pictures.

From the article:
"The report also claimed that the full-size iPad will be arriving in the same three colors seen on the iPhone 5s: space gray/black, gold/white, and silver/white."

Edit: sorry, I guess your comment makes sense referencing iPad mini, which they don't mention in gold. My bad.

Dontcha just love modern ad-speak?

Grey and beige, the 2 dullest, blandest colours available.

But Space Grey - wow - exciting!

At least the iPhone 5s colour is 'Gold', and not 'Cosmic Beige'

If the colour of the back of the iPad is so important, are you sure you're using it correctly?

If Space Gray retains it's weightlessness on earth I'm in! :D OK, I'll settle for .50 lb less than the iPad 3 & 4.

So, this like copying the iPhone 5S..

I bet Apple's future will be "Everything in Space Grey" now...

(And i *still* can't tell its grey in any way, or shade of grey for that matter) .. Looks black to me.

More teasers,

BUT no finished unit pics like 5c, about 4 weeks ahead.

Guessing late Oct release... LATE again! (seconds time an iPad gift missed a B-day, with no chance for late present)

OH, on a note.
I suspect the GOLD iPad is there becuase it will have A7.

:D

I suspect that the space grey is replacing the slate black due to the numberous complaints of scratching and colour coming off the slate black when the iPhone 5 was introduced.

On another note ipad 5 in white/gold? TAKE MY MONEY!!

that is actually look very good. very sleek.

I really like the grey too.

They are probably replacing the slate because it is a scratch and dent magnet. I have a black iPhone 5 and the thing looks like hell and I take really good care of it. Wish they kept using stainless steel but that's to heavy for apple.

Where has this irritating "easier to make" meme come from? When has Apple ever done anything because it's easier? Stamping out cheap Toshiba plastic laptop cases is a lot "easier" than aluminium MacBooks, do you think they'll switch back to that?

Lol kidding, if I was plan on getting an iPhone 5S or iPad Mini the color wouldn't make a single difference as they'd go straight into a case.

Though I liked slate, it was clear it was a poor design choice in terms of longevity of the finish.

Space grey looks cool, too.
