Dont Listen to this fool! Its a eu Regulation it meana all Apple has to to do is to Ship an 30pin to Micro USB Adapter. HDMI died with airplay. Micro USB or sd dies with further Cloud syncing possibilities. That the next rev is going to Be lighter And FaceTime enablee doesnt take a Genius to guess.

It's not HTML5 or Flash - there are plenty of ways to embed video without using flash, and professional/competent developers should create sites that detect plug-ins and deliver content accordingly so if flash isn't present for video playback, a quicktime version is displayed. It's not rocket science.

It's a sign of lazy developers - the equivalent of those who four or five years ago specified what browser and screen resolution was required instead of doing the job properly.

Which of the sites you visit regularly use flash for anything important other than video playback?

What you just posted is much easier said than done. Time is a huge premium when developing anything. At a billing rate that I am going to guess is around $75-$100+ per hour to develop a web sight. Adding that feature could easily add a few hours to a simple page with the additional testing and tweaking that would need to be done.
Is that really worth that much extra money. Often times the answer is no.

Also you have to remember the major developing tools does not have that all added in yet. Even if it did you have to wait until the newest one is 2-3 version old before everyone will of switch over because remember not all companies upgraded to the latest and greatest. They will often times uses older versions because the new features are not worth the extra cost.

My biggest beef with the iPad is the weight. It's way too heavy. Glad to hear it might shed a few ounces. :)

this is a great rumor. I would like to see it made of wood though. just to see if they can do it.

Pretty weak prediction from GS. I wonder how they came up with this?
Let's see, what do we already know about the new iPad that is almost for sure:
- New iPad will be faster, thinner, lighter, and have a camera.

Hmm.... now we need to make this story have something that isn't obvious... I know, how about we predict a USB connector for it since clearly nobody (not even Apple) has speculated that.... Yeah, now let's publish it.

Sometimes I wonder why some of these analysts are paid to publish these things.

There's an obvious explanation for the mini-USB port...

...it's actually a micro-USB port and these guys can't tell the difference.

Wow. Shocking predictions. LIghter and thinner next-gen iPad? Camera on board?

NO way. Get out of here. Don't believe it.

usb connector would be in lieu of camera kit.

Product refreshes will less be more than annual - so a year from the first revision at the least. Apple have never revised a product's physical spec within a year of launch.

umm, the ipod classic, the macbook air, the ipod touch, the mac mini, the imac, the mac pro, the macbook pro.

all of these apple products have had their physical specs revised within the first year of launch.... why can't the ipad have a its physical specs revised if Q1 2010?

Im not saying it will, cuz I dont really know anything about anything. but I really want to know how long I will have to wait for this "iPad 2" because I am debating fixing and upgrading my netbook. and I dont have too much money to spare.

If it "must" have some form of mini USB they can just make an adaptor with the 30pin used on almost everything, 30pin into iDevice with female Mini USB other end win win non EU can keep the 30Pin and the device will have access to a mini USB for EU charging etc

Also an SD slot may happen though Apple being Apple like to make powerful iDevices as small as the can so it'll most likely be a HCmiroSD slot

I think we're also forgetting something:

The 30-pin dock connector isn't just a charger, or a data connection. It can also output audio and video for docks, video adapters, accessory control, etc. If it were just a matter of the computer data connection and charger, I think they'd be all about it, but I don't think they'll give it up that easily.

USB can output audio and video as well.
