Over on 9to5mac, they have a poll on this so thought it would be fun to set one up on here. Comment your thoughts...



I personally do not want the glass back, apparently it's not gorilla glass. Mine has scratched and what is really annoying is the camera glass is scratched. I want a liquid metal back and the camera glass recessed.

What do you guy's say?
 
I think it looks sexy. Liquid metal would be interesting though..

Aluminum is played out and old now, plus it scratches and dents like a bitch

I voted yes because I actually really like the glass design. Wouldn't mind it for another year or two.

But, there has been talk that the next Macbook Pro might actually be liquid metal, it wouldn't surprise me if the iPhone in 2012 would be liquid metal. As for right now, they'll most likely keep the glass, which is perfectly fine.

I voted yes since I own the iPhone 4 and have no intention of getting the iphone 5. And make it easily removable and include spare battery.

Unless it went back to metal, but I doubt that because of signal, antenna placement etc.
PLEASE no plastic back like the 3G/S.
 
I simply want something with a matte finish to help with fingerprints
 
I wouldn't mind switching from glass if they went to metal/aluminium.
If they went back to plastic, hell no keep the glass.

You'd think if they keep the external antena like on the 4, that they could make the whole back metal without interference.

I believe there are after market replacement backs for the 4 that do just that actually.
 
Heck no...I hate the glass back...scratches easily, breaks easily, attracts fingerprints.
Please go back to round back, like in 3GS.
 
I've got a Sandisk liquid metal USB drive and it's hard as nails! Hardly any scratches on it at all after a few years, would be perfect IMO. Silver or black liquid metal, recessed camera gorilla glass, the same metal band around the sides that the iPhone 4 has made of the same metal as present, with the aerials sorted and the same gorilla glass front.

No glass please. How many who like the glass put a cover on it? At that point, it's just extra weight. Scratch-proof metal would be nice.
 
apple needs to make the next iphone work, not pretty! it's not a phone if the antenna's don't work.
 
Take an iPhone 4 but give it a white liquid metal back with a recessed camera lens made out of Gorilla Glass and we have a deal.
 
Glass shows the superior industrial quality of the phone so I chose to stick with it.
