So far the Apple has been massively successful with the releases of Retina Display devices in the past few years.

Don't you think the next logical step would be to improve the audio with "Retina" quality high definition speakers for your ears? I think iTunes store will also be seeing an upgrade providing lossless audio files.

Will the next iPhone (iPhone 5) have RETINA quality audio? The best audio that outperforms the human ears?

lol Retina Audio. Retina is a layer of the eye. But I agree.. supreme audio could be the next iPhones selling point.

Wow. How frustrated must you lot be to insult a person on how they word a suggestion?

Jesus Christ

To be fair, the wording in this case demonstrates a major lack of knowledge. Anyone who went through middle school biology should know that the retina is a part of the eye

I am laughing so hard right now. The shear stupidity of it all is overwhelming me. Holy crap.
"Shear" stupidity, huh?

To be fair, the point the OP is trying to make is extremely clear. All I see are a bunch of pedants that for some reason feel the need to feel superior to OP, who was clearly making an allegorical comparison.

So, basically we should accept everyone's errors just because we might know what they're trying to say? Does that mean spelling and grammar shouldn't count for anything since it's usually possible to comprehend the intent of a message even with butchered English? How about we go back to pointing and grunting at stuff; the intent is usually clear even with caveman communication.

It's not about feeling superior; it's about correcting a mistake. If everyone just accepted the OP's post without pointing out the error, someone else who's similarly unfamiliar with the concept could potentially come by this post and decide that the retina is not exclusive to the eye. I personally think we should try not to propagate ignorance.

C'mon!

Let's stop arguing over semantics. The fact is, it would be nice to have better sound coming from iOS devices.

Obviously they're not going to call it Retina audio....

;)

I agree. It is one thing to misspell on a school assignment where you, your teacher and maybe one or two other see it before it gets corrected and forgotten forever.

It is quite another to misspell, or use the wrong words to describe concepts on the internet where what you write is available for the world to see, and saved/cached into perpetuity.

How would you like it if the airplane you have to ride on through turbulence at 5,000 ft was designed by a group of engineers who were lazy and indiscriminate with the terms and procedures given to the manufacturers and mechanics who put the aircraft together?

Oh wait, I think I just described consumer air travel in eastern europe (hope you enjoy it).
