If they can do it with some kind of nano coating, then great, otherwise no.



I don't want a phone even larger than necessary with flaps just for it to be waterproof/resistant.



In all my years of owning mobiles (and they are a few) I have yet to drop it into water.


Flaps? What is this, 2001?

But Apple probably make millions from replacements and repairs, so I wonder if they would want to.

Even if they made millions, its a TINY drop in the bucket.....

And I'm sure they would look at how many additional sales they think they could get with the water resistant feature. Like would even it out some.

Would love to see, but not clamoring for it. Glad Samsung finally started merging some of their variant lines (Instead of the GS4 Active and regular GS4, you get a GS5 that's water resistant).

have you heard of Liquipel?

I'm asking out of ignorance - how does Samsung make the GS5 water resistant? Is it Liquipel or something similar?
