Not to add to the 'must have' requests, but double clicking of space to add a period, such as blackberries have had since day one would be awesome.

Now if only I would stop trying to scroll down messages on my stupid work BB by flicking on the screen. It doesn't work, and I end up looking really dumb...

im so excited about this new update, please please happen today, i cant wait anylonger. checked my comp at 6am this morning to see if it was released aafter the uk thing, but to muy dissappointment it obviously wasnt, :(

i know that everyone has been "hoping" this update would have the horizontal keyboard addition, but is this just speculation, or has anyone actually confirmed a so called "leak" of the addition of this feature. If it really happens, i'm sure i'll mess my shorts!

I honestly just want the update to fix push email in Mail so that it actually works after all this time.

So did I...he looked kinda funny...:)

Santa is bringing us the 1.1 iPhone update?

The man better wrap it with a bow and HAND DELIVER IT TO all of us 1,000,000+ customers within the next hour.

That's generally how apple does things. I suspect the Easter bunny will deliver the next update -.-

Since this is described in the iPod Touch manual it's almost certain to be coming.

Hilarious.

Personally I can't seriously consider an iPhone until they add the horizontal keyboard in all apps. That's why I'm considering getting a BB, regardless of how much I like the iPhone.

Since you are using both, how do they really compare in terms of being able to reliably compose, access and send mail? Especially in terms of speed.

I know this has been said several times and I invite ridicule for even saying it but has anyone noticed the pictures posted on the engadget site, the pictures of the O2 Iphone side by side with the US Iphone? Can anyone confirm that the weather icon says in the O2 Iphone says 23° is that just cause it is in Celsius or is it a live weather icon.

Yes I just said it and no I did not bring this up on the last Update, but I was just wondering and it would totally make sense if it was a live Widget (like calender) but it also makes sense if it is just in Celsius.

It's Celsius. (73 F)

I love the vertical keyboard and I type extremely fast on it. I find it more awkward to use the horizontal keyboard because of the loss of viewing room for the content.

Agree totally, the keys are much too spaced out with the horizontal configuration and I have to really stretch to do two thumb typing... The keyboard takes practice, but I know type faster on my iPhone then I ever did with my treo.... Something like 45 words a minute....

(I wonder if the iPhone and devices like it with full keyboards will put an end to that strange "LOL" speech, that's even made it's way into commercials)

God, I hope so. It's kinda funny how other phone makers advertise this. "Look at our crippled keyboard, rotflmfao!" Losers.

But seriously, just give me flash. This is a high priority missing feature. Sure iTunes WiFi Store might bring in a few bucks at a time, but flash will bring in a few hundred bucks at a time, ie. more iPhones/Touch sold. And make Safari stop crashing, please.

What I would love is the ability to employ security certificates for wifi! My college network requires the download of these certificates and I can't do it on my iPhone. It bothers the hell outta me to be surrounded by a high-speed wifi network and be stuck using freakin EDGE! AAAAAAAAAARGH

Missed the edge off switch, which pic? That would make some people very happy.

I am sure Apple has at least one other app they are working on. They might be waiting to see how the software update goes for iTunes wifi before adding another app though. This will be the first "real" software update for the iPhone so I am sure Apple is going to monitor how smoothly it goes down before they attempt to rush anything else out for the phone. Depending on how this update goes, it may speed up or slow down any attempt at adding some other apps.

Oh yeah, what is this Push Mail problem people continue to bring up? I see people mention it, but nobody explains it. I use it and don't have any issues so I am curious to know what people are talking about.

The big question is where is this update at? Are we going to see it at some point today?? :(
