hi, I love my mac pro, but some interesting thing of apple I see always, when a rummor around the world about a new hardware, a lot people create fakes or prototypes... of the new hardware, I remember the fakes of iphone... but never are best than apple real thing..., any fake was close to the real iphone, apple have amazing designers... so Iam corious about the next model of mac pro design... maybe more small?
As some others have said, I'd like to see the slightly more architectural aspect of the Omen in the Pro, and for 'the colander look' to be replaced by something more monolithic but maybe, knowing Apple, tempered by the "scalloped edges language" they've got going on. A taller machine would express that better.
Mainly though I'd like to see some changes under the hood.
In addition to height, I'd like it to be a tad wider - to accomodate airflow / heat transfer that actually goes some way to making it a workstation (the OS can't be helped, but hey) instead of a jumped-up home computer.
Engineering - work on the airflow as above while maintaining silence, also the drive bays have to be reengineered - it's a ridiculous system done for looks than accessibility or stability in use with higher-end drives. Some other detail changes.
I'd also like slightly more stability from the lower feet, but it's not a huge issue. Getting rid of the janky optical drive arrangement would be good too, but for enthusiasts (clearly many of you love the compromised engineering so much that you spend a lot of time hacking stuff that needn't be hacked in the first place on a proper workstation) I guess a slot-load wouldn't be so desirable. Me, I wouldn't mind.
Oh yeah - I'm not sure how many agree with me, but I could lose the FW ports at the front, and have them relocated to the back. The use of FW is for less transient devices than USB for me.
Actually I think you proved the guy you responded to right. The Delorean looks surprisingly ordinary in black.
