Man I thought the iPhone 6 & 6+ launch were a mess. I still think I am lucky for get the 6+, but man Google just can't get their crap together. I think you are very lucky to have gotten the N6. Seems stock will be a problem for a while.

6 and 6+ have been a mess due to sheer volume of orders/desire. Not only is Apple having a hard time producing enough to meet demand, but FedEx and UPS can't ship them fast enough. Honestly, an Apple rep told me the shipping part is a bigger problem. It would take all the capacity and then some of both FedEx and UPS to make it work.....

I'm not sure what Google's excuse is. At the very least give us some information. Then again, they've always been terrible at rollouts....probably for the best as I don't know that I'd want to afford the phone at this point. But I'm itching to get my hands on one and it doesn't seem like that will happen any time soon.

I guess I'll check on Wednesday and see.....

I don't think I express what I meant in that first post. I was more referring to the pre order process of both. With the iPhone 6 & 6+ a lot of people that were trying on their computers never got a pre order in, and it seemed the App was the most successful. Even then it took me 25 minutes after the 3am EST to get through. I agree it had everything to do with volume. Just was not smooth.

I think the same can be said for Google. Not nearly the volume of Apple, but still I think they had a lot of people wanting this phone. My main point is that these pre orders never seem to be as smooth as they should. I feel like both of these still need a lot of work, and Google being the one that needs way more work.

I was hoping the demand for the N6 would be lower so they would make the next one smaller.

That's if there is a next one. And even if they make it smaller, I think we can forget about the Nexus as a low cost phone. But regarding the demand, well, it's unclear how many units Google took orders for. All subsequent articles have pointed to a really limited stock to begin with.

Anyway, the NDA is lifting and we're in for all the juicy and not so details that were off limits so far. Reviews should start hitting the web tomorrow.

This is the first time I've ever ordered something without a thorough review. Partially because I need a new phone b/c my current iPhone 5 is slowly dying on me. And also because the demand/pre-order process has been so difficult that when I was able to get on into my cart I had to pull the trigger.

I even marked my calendar for "Nexus 6 review day". I am excited to see what people say.

You'll still be able to return the phone if you don't like it, but if it's your first Android device, don't be hasty and take your time with it. I remember my first Android device was the original Nexus 7 and it was frustrating coming from an exclusively iOS background.

Anyway the first impressions has been great so far. Let's see how the reviewers feel after using it for a week or so.

Don't know if anyone say, but T-mo has pushed their launch back a week to 11/19. This launch is a joke...if you can even call it a launch.

Got my ETA for the N6 on ATT of 11/18. Whats funny is I had to sign up for next because even though I am eligible for a full upgrade it kept reverting back to Next when it came to check out. Reps tried to help but couldn't fix it. I'll just switch to a two year when the phone comes in.

Got my preorder in too....and it did the same thing to me. ETA 11/18

The Nexus 6 was set to launch tomorrow at T-mo until they announced via Twitter today it is pushed to 11/19 to provide "the best experience possible for customers".
My guess is we should expect a massive update for the phone day 1 like the Nexus 9 got and those issues are being wrapped up.

Did you guys pre-order online or store?

The reviews do not have me excited at all. Mediocre battery life, mediocre camera, and mediocre call quality.

It really sounds like the most praised part of the phone is lollipop, which the nexus 5 will get.

The reviews seems to be very similar to the nexus 9, meh.

I have to agree. The camera and battery life still seem to be on the "con" side of things of many reviews. Will Nexus devices EVER get those two things right?

I'm glad I didn't hold my breath for the Nexus 6.
