The irony is many would be willing to pay $79 more to have the 6P specs/quality/finish in the 5X. Admittedly the 3450mAh battery would be a challenge to squeeze in that form factor, so 1080p might remain preferable, but you get the point. IMO it's a bit of a burn that Google asks us to settle for a lesser spec'd, cut corners, utilitarian device just because of size preference -- especially for a savings of only $79 @32gb.

I don't mind it. Specs are only #s on a sheet of paper. It's all about the user experience. So far, it's delivering for me.

Appreciate the honesty. Will wait for the prices to drop before buying it. Still happy with my Galaxy S6 Edge and iPhone 6s combo :)

Oh, it's the 6S? I thought you had the Plus. The plus is really good imo. Well, the phone can sell pretty well right now and you could make some $, but it's so hard to resist the urge. I have a 128gb 6S Plus unlocked sim free model in Gold, which is one of the most elusive models on the market.

I agree with you to an extent. Plenty of things I like about both iOS and android. The 6s plus has excellent battery life that's for sure. I have a thread somewhere over on the iPhone forum detailing the plus and minus of my move from a note 4 to 6s+

A Note 4 is a good phone, but it's a lame duck now because everything has 64 bit processors w/ flagships. The updates will slow down too since Samsung is terrible with updates.

Man I love the new Nexus phones. The ads I've seen on TV are awesome, plus the phones themselves are sick. If I had to get a new phone right now, it'd be difficult to choose between the 6s & 6p. Google finally came out with a no-compromise Nexus phone. It has a great design, awesome camera (based on samples I've seen, the 6p provides better looking photos than the 6s), awesome performance, stock Android, good price, and a QHD screen to top it off.

Another thing that makes this phone so appealing is the fact that you can get a 128 GB 6p for the same price as the entry-level 16 GB 6s. I'd be hard pressed to buy the iPhone 6s over this phone. There's just a lot to love about the 6p.

Only in certain countries. In many others the difference is not as pronounced.

A 128gb 6s is €950 here
A 128gb 6p is €799 here

Yes it's still very much cheaper than the iPhone but not as by a wide a margin as in the USA

I wouldn't trust a rep in a store as much. There is a lot of framework for a deal to be made. I am purely speculating, but did T-Mobile have a previous contract with Google to sell Nexus devices? If so, who ended it? Was it mutually agreed to end it or did their business relationship get strained and they have to talk it out or litigate it? Is Google terminating the deal to focus on selling their phones directly to the buyer again? What is their end all goal? See how many questions I raised just looking at its face value? I could've asked more complicated stuff, but rather not lol.

So, it's not a question of who ended it. Google's Project Fi took over basically. It's their network service that combines CDMA and GSM technologies to incorporate a bigger coverage network. Project Fi uses Sprint and T-Mobile towers both. And Google's aim is to push that service above the individual carriers. Project Fi is exclusive to the Nexus 6 and the 2015 nexus devices.

My status has officially changed to "Shipped". My delivery date (Nov. 4-6 hasn't changed) but I hope it will get here sooner than that...Will keep everyone updated.

Has anyone else been updated to "shipped" status for the Nexus 6p?

Can't wait for the 6p to be release in the Uk.
Does anyone know what games he is playing?

I'm interested.

Like others have said, wait for the price to go down a bit, my S6 Edge is great for the next few months.

Also waiting on real world camera reviews. But Huawei did brilliantly, they've taken this opportunity with both hands.

Yeah the 6P looks like a real winner. I would love to pick one up.....but really wanted to get some hands on with it first. The video reviews seem to be positive. I hope that T-Mobile and Best Buy would pick up the new Nexus phones. They both carried them last year after the initial release was over.
