You don't have to tweak toggles all day, the NFC tags do it for you!
This is something that I truly will miss moving back from Android over to iOS unless something has fundamentally improved in iOS8.
In Android, I have (almost) complete control over how my phone interacts with my myriad bluetooth devices. If I want my calls going to my BT headset, my music streaming to my BT speakers and my audiobooks streaming to my car audio speakers, I can easily set things up once to do it that way.
With iOS7 I turn on my car and my iPhone gets totally confused and attempts to stream everything...calls, music, audiobooks, etc....all to the "newest" found BT device.
Drives me insane. If I'm just a doofus and haven't figured out how to do this properly with iOS please advise.
But I'm worried that Apple will treat NFC the same damn way....and thus pretty much neuter the more creative uses of NFC and limit you only to payments.
Research? Programming? Did you look at what goes into "programming" a NFC tag?
1. You download an app to your phone
2. Tell the app what actions you'd like done by clicking on them in the app
3. Save to tag
What does that have to do with scripting, macros, and writing your first program?
Just look at how the SmartThings home automation hub app does it. Add a device (NFC Tag), and use very simple Q&A using common everyday terms like "When you see me on Wifi, open garage door and turn on light." All programming is reduced to common language tasks by the app.
