New Orleans really? They are not as good as they were last year. Philly is on fire with Vick. The Skins are unpredictable and I think Detroit could give Dallas trouble. I see Dallas losing to Indy, maybe taking one against the Eagles, splitting Detroit and Arizona and a toss up to NO and Washington.

NO (6-3) is my pick for the Super Bowl on the NFC side right now. Let's see how this year plays out and determine if they are the same as last year. They are a game behind the best, which is Atlanta and this could be their year having started at 7-2.

Philly always blows it but Vick can be on track to have a 20 TD, 1,000 rushing yard season like he did on his best year with Atlanta and that could factor in big. Playing in just 5 games this year he has 7 TDs and 261 yards rushing and he looks like he will be ready to bust out in the remaining season if he doesn't get hurt again.

Washington is OK, but they only have 4 wins but can always turn it around as three rings have shown us. I remember Rypien and thought who the heck is this unknown? That was an exciting year. Doug Williams and his game of a lifetime was also a highlight in football.

Dallas, as we all know, will not go to Super Bowl and they will be very lucky to make an even season.

I wasn't sure about the Pats going all the way, but they look like the best, or one of the best in the AFC and right now, my choice for going all the way. They killed the Steelers.

You aren't doing so well with your teams this year

No, I'm certainly not! I don't have a lot of attachment to SD though - they're just the closest team to where I live. The Longhorns are causing me a lot more heartache.

The Cowboys are a long way off from even making the playoffs. They would have to run the table to do it. The Giants that year were in the race the whole season. Going 0-2 and 1-6 to start the season is a big difference.

Not only that, in that season, Eli was a legit QB. Dallas has Kitna as QB. Sure, he put up stats but don't expect that to happen on a weekly basis. He's still Jon Kitna. If Romo was still playing and won the way they did last night, I think you would have a good argument.

The Cowboys got a rush of adrenaline with a new coach. The Giants won 5 straight and got the boys at the wrong time. To say this is a turning point is way to soon. As far as I see it this is just a blip on the radar for both teams.

Philly is whooping that ass. Vick is playing lights out.

EDIT: I'm not sure if I've seen this kind of ass kicking at the pro level.

LOL I know right? The Eagles are doing whatever they want and the Redskins are just allowing them to have their way...Vick has been PERFECT and has really grown as a QB. Vick is even more dangerous now.

Wow, world class and I hate saying that since I hate Vick with every fiber of my soul.

I don't know if he's coming into greatness (though he wasn't bad some years in Atlanta) or if he's trying to also redeem his bad boy image and speak to people like me who think he should still be in jail for a very long time. Sometimes hated players like Owens and Moss actually do better when people despise them and Vick could be like that.

OK MacNut ... I concede , the two games the Boys have against the Eagles could be a little harder than I am dreaming ... Vick is playing for MVP this year.

Yikes...the Eagles are playing like they are the best team in the NFL... this could be very very interesting down the stretch if they keep this up!

Here is hoping they make it all the way only to loose~ :D

I am with you on that one. Nothing personal against the Eagles, just Vick. I can't believe the NFL let a monster like him back into the league. (OK, a talented monster, but a monster nonetheless)

I couldn't care less that he plays, he did what he did and served his time. What I hate is how smug he is on and off the field. He looks at his players while on the sidelines in such a condescending manner. I was noticing that more and more last night as he walked down the bench stopping to talk to each player.

That said, he has a lot of talent but I sure with the Redskins could have conquered him.

This is very true. However with the way vick is playing and the way the rest of the team is following suite they are looking pretty tough.

I remember watching the Pats make their run
The first half of the season they destroyed teams and made them look silly
But in the end, they weren't invincible either

The Eagles have a nice team, and Vick is playing a more mature QB game
And they may very well go deep in the playoffs and even the SB
But honestly, every week of the season there is a new "hot" team to get on the bandwagon

Slow and steady wins the race

I am just wondering what the Eagles record would be this season if Vick hadn't been injured. The Eagles are undefeated when Vick plays the whole game (4-0).

Week 1: Vick entered after a Kolb injury (few plays in the 2nd quarter and the whole 2nd half) to almost bring Eagles from behind
Week 2: Vick wins over the Lions
Week 3: Vick destroys the Jaguars
Week 4: Vick injured in 1st quarter in loss to the Redskins
Week 5: Kolb beats 49ers (Vick injured)
Week 6: Kolb beats Falcons (Vick injured)
Week 7: Kolb loses to Titans (Vick injured)
Week 8: BYE
Week 9: Vick beats the Colts (in a game that shouldn't have been as close as it was - darn penalties)
Week 10: Vick destroys the Redskins
Week 11: Vick ??? the NY Giants

I think that Vick could have beat the Redskins in week 4. Not sure about the Game against the Titans though. So, maybe the Eagles would be 7-2 or possibly 8-1. He already beat the Colts, but the game this Sunday against the Giants will tell us how good the Eagles really are this season.

After the butt whipping the 'Boys put on the G-men, I don't know how good a measuring stick it is

Every week is a new season
Teams left for dead are resurrected
And teams who have been crowned are exposed

Well, the Cowboys are a much better team than they have shown the entire season. They have a lot of talent. Maybe now that Wade is out of the picture the Cowboys will be the team that they were supposed to be. That said, I thought the Giants would have put up a better fight than they did against the Cowboys. I guess they thought that they could walk all over the Cowboys. They were wrong.

This is so true.

One team few have noticed is the 5-4 Oakland Raiders.

5-4? (but they are leading the AFC West which pretty much sums up most of the leaders in the NFL with some weird losses).

I hope they can stay a winning team and go better than 8-8 in the end. Of course, the playoffs would be great, too. :)

You mean the guy who threw for 327 yards and 3 TD's yesterday. I'm not saying the Cowboys are going to do anything big with the games remaining, but Kitna had a good day and has been a decent NFL QB in his career. I mean, you could do worse at the position.

Yeah, you could do worse. But this guy has a career 76 quarterback rating. And his career record as a starter is 46-69.

Yippee, they beat up on Washington. Next, we can give them the Lombardi trophy after they beat up on the Bills.

We are talking about the Eagles here. No Super Bowl wins. My SF Giants are more likely to get Cliff Lee and Ichiro on the cheap for next year and my SJ Sharks to win the Stanley cup back to back than for the Eagles to win the big game.

Take the worst team in the AFC, and through some hard work and luck, if they make it to the Super Bowl against the Eagles, they will certainly find a way to win. I can also say that for the Vikings as far as a team that is good but cursed, while having a lot of really good years like the Eagles, just can't win the big game. When the Vikings had Tarkenton, he held many of the records Manning now has but it didn't transfer into a Super Bowl win. When the Eagles had Cunningham, they had what was perhaps the most talented QB of a generation with one of the most crushing defenses (7 opposing QBs taken out in one season), yet they couldn't translate it into a Lombardi trophy.

I would think eventually the Vikings or the Eagles will win the Super Bowl, but my bet is on the Lions to do it before the former two. ;)

However, they did it on the Redskins home field. I think the Eagles are the team to beat right now, even though it makes me vomit a little just writing that.
