I couldn't care less that he plays, he did what he did and served his time. What I hate is how smug he is on and off the field. He looks at his players while on the sidelines in such a condescending manner. I was noticing that more and more last night as he walked down the bench stopping to talk to each player.

That said, he has a lot of talent but I sure with the Redskins could have conquered him.

Odd. What I saw was him taking the time to walk over to each of his players and thank them for the work they did. If I were a player I'd much rather that, than have my QB walk over and sit on the bench sulking that we're behind (that wasn't against McNabb).

I think even Hitler or Saddam thanked their generals. Really classy sh**, you know. I say bring OJ :eek:back!!

As predicted, the Falcons sit atop the ESPN power rankings this week

1. Falcons
2. Patriots
3. Jets
4. Steelers
5. Ravens
6. Eagles
7. Packers
8. Giants
9. Saints
10. Colts

Falcons take over top of Power Rankings

We have a new No. 1 team in the ESPN.com Power Rankings and it’s from the NFC South.

Yes, the division whose fans often feel like they get no national “respect’’ is getting some. The Atlanta Falcons are No. 1 for the first time this season.

The best news of all is I didn’t have to make a single call to lobby the voters. Three out of the four voters put the Falcons at No. 1. Also, a little bit of perspective -- we've been doing the Power Rankings since 2002. This is the first time in history the Falcons have been No. 1.

You can talk all you want about “respect,’’ but the purest way to get it is to go out and earn it. That’s what the Falcons did Thursday night when they went out and beat the previous No. 1 team, Baltimore, and showed the AFC might not be so dominant this year after all.

Falcons have a favorable schedule the remainder of the season to make a run at home field

Fear the Birds... and not those Eagles or Ravens

It could be your year.

But I will have to see how the rest of the regular season plays out before I can say they are absolutely the best. I feel a little safer with the other top teams on this list like the Jets and the Patriots.

But if Atlanta goes all the way and wins the Super Bowl, they will be one of the great Cinderella stories of the NFL. There has been so much bad stuff and near misses with that team, kind of like last years Super Bowl winner.

Atlanta vs. the Pats would be a great one.

See ya in the NFC championship game;) And remember, when we beat you earlier it was Kevin Kolb not Michael Vick...

That would be Matt Ryan, after we rid ourselves of Vick
Ryan is 18-1 at the Dome and has won 14 straight there
Better eat your Wheaties ;)

I can't bad mouth Matt Ryan cause he's a local kid made good :) But the rest of your team is a different story

As a matter of fact my older son played ice hockey with him

Those sound like Tom Brady numbers.

Falcons are on top but let's see if they can keep it that way.

My money is still on the Falcons to make it happen as they are a more complete team than the Eagles. Vick has that extra weapon of probably being the best running QB in the NFL overall in the years he has served.

But Vick takes chances and it has got him injured a lot in his career. Unless Vick has an identical twin on the Eagles, he can't afford to play that loose. Let's see if he has matured and can let others on the team carry some weight. Who cares if Vick slides to take four yards instead of slamming into four on the defense, play the tough guy and maybe get five yards.

There is a certain point his Ironman tactics will catch up with him. Unstoppable tough QB Jim McMahon of the 1985 Bears played like he was also a linebacker and that overconfidence was the surest way to seal his fate of never winning the Super Bowl again.

Nice games this weekend

Green Bay v. Minnesota
Giants v. Eagles
Colts v. Patriots
Reggie Bush v. Pete Carroll

Trap game for the Falcons today in St. Louis
Birds need to focus and show their maturity

I will look at all this late this afternoon PST when some have finished and some are maybe still in progress

I didn't look at nfl site or tv yet, but on GB and MN, I don't have a guess.

Giants will beat Eagles by just a touchdown or less. No rout either way. Giants have been more consistent overall but Eagles had a one-off freakish game for the record books. Giants have a respectable 5-1 record in their conference and this early I still predict they take that at least.

Patriots will win, but this won't end the Colts who I think can go all the way.

Reggie Bush v. Pete Carroll (coach?), no predictions. Are you talking about about stats or who will be on winning team overall (or namely yards vs. containing the run)? If Bush plays decently well, win or lose, and gets back to form, I then think either the Falcons or the Saints will represent the NFC in the Super Bowl.

Whoever either team faces there, I think they will handily win. It's an NFC year I'm afraid. Manning and Brady are great, for their age and that will stop them. The Jets are great but one more year until they are ripe to be a superpower.

Jets still in it! What a game.
Eventually the chariot will turn into a pumpkin. They have gotten lucky breaks the past 3 weeks. This team can't keep doing this against the best teams in the playoffs.

Say it with me, 8 and 2 ****************. :D

No joke. Although I could do without these last minute theatrics.

Yeah they've been chest pain games.

From Twitter:

Rex: "8 and 2, moving on, want to apologize to all the jets fans for affecting the heart. We'll take the win." #jets

LOL

I'll definitely take the wins, no matter how we get them. Though this one was sweet. Living in Houston now, I never would have heard the end of it had they lost.
