I had a case by this company for the ipad 4 - it was lovely leather and really was an addition to the tablet rather than a nuisance, the leather is good quality but also thin so doesn't add much bulk to the device - it also has a holder for the pencil. The only thing I don't like is the leather loop, which looks to be independent from the pencil holder, so would cut it off if possible. Released in a few weeks

Reminds me of the original Apple case for the original iPad.

Covered bezel = no sale.

Agreed. Lovely case. Have had several. Last comment is completely accurate the bezel which is covered by the weather makes it difficult to swipe up and it's a real pain in the ass. Until they fix it I would buy another, especially for what they charge!

Here's one that I prefer. Don't let the price fool you. Absolutely perfect fit. Very durable, high quality. I have this one (same brown color) for my iPad Air 2, Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4, and Kindle Fire 7.

I ordered this a few days ago, I was looking for one for art that could be tilted back at a good angle - nice and clean around the bezels also - and a good price - but I will still probably order the leather one, the leather is much thinner and tighter on those than the normal bulky cases so the dragging up from bottom shouldn't be as much of an issue.

This one is great for art as the bottom notch and lowering it to hit the latch are both great angles for drawing/painting

that looks very sleek and clean, but I was looking for one with more of an angle for drawing - that looks like its quite flat in typing mode like the smart cover

Nice. That certainly will do the job for what you need. I have a similar one for my GTab. The only "gotcha" is the curved clasp on the cover. It gets in the way when folding the cover back.

I noticed that, but see it as a feature as you can use it as a display stopper for an even lower angle - also I think it may have a stylus loop holder, whether the pencil fits it or not is another matter.

Got the Kavaj today - really nice quality leather, no problems with the borders, all swipes available, seems well thought out, seams reinforced, very pleased with it.

Agree on bezel. Control center was always hard to activate.

KavaJ also makes the Berlin (thinnest, but I hated stand angles) and Hamburg. I liked the Hamburg for my Air/Air 2. Hamburg is a great middle ground - beautiful thin leather but with enough reliable stand angles to be of use.

Company is great. They called me unsolicited to make sure I was happy with the case.they have gone above and beyond with taking care of any minor issues, stellar customer service.

try the control center swipe from bottom. Always had issues with that on all my kavaJ cases. Berlin and Hamburg, multiple cases.

Wouldn't say this is the 'niceset', pen loop doesn't look secure, although I don't think there is a pen loop, its just the magnetic catch folded over.

Don't like how much the bezels are covered around the sides. Will become quite troublesome when you've got it in the stand position and you need to swipe up or down from the edge. The leather also looks quite flimsy, doesn't look that durable.

That's my opinion anyways, I'm sure there's others out there who like the case.

Thanks, this is exactly what I was looking for to match my iPad Air Smart Case which is so much nicer than the official smart cover and case for iPad Pro. I don't think you have a Pro, but how is the weight of this case? And is the branding feel so prominent as it appears in the pictures?

I badly need a full case as I've already got one small scratch on the back of this thing.

Correct, I don't have a Pro (yet) but I think that the weight of the case is well balanced... if it is too light then it doesn't feel like it will protect, but too heavy and it feels bulky. This is true for all 3 Fintie cases that I own for my various devices.

The branding is not prominent IMO. On my iPad Air 2 case, the embossed Fintie logo is slightly less than an inch wide and a little more than a quarter of an inch tall.

Swiping up and down in portrait no problem. The bezel is exposed to the bottom of the home button, and an equivalent gap at the top.

Swiping from the sides slightly more tricky, but just needs getting used to.

The pen is not held tightly when opened, but fine when closed and strapped.

Won't suit everyone, but suits me fine.

Don't know why exactly but all the tri fold cases have the most horrible stability issues for me. Plus having only 2 stand options feels limiting. Probably just used to my cases that have several angle options

Do like their slimness though. Guess I would opt for a devicewear over these.

Good point. The Devicewear case for the Pro is quite nice. The price is more than I am willing to spend for a simple case though. But that's me. :)

The amazon images seem to be mock ups, two of the images have the leather coming right to the edge of the display, but this image below has quite a gap between the leather edge and display - if the image below is the accurate one, then there should be no issue with swiping from bottom or top. Also below image seems to show the pen holder is an independent loop within the leather latch. - If I were to buy this I would try and cut the long latch off down to the pen holder (as the latch sticks up on the top annoyingly) - then I think it would be excellent

The leather is excellent quality, I had one for the iPad 4 and it weathers really nice and is thin, but really solid - looks even better now on the iPad 4 I sold and its had use for several years.

Also, the black leather on the black iPad would be so sleek

can you confirm which of the below amazon images is most accurate for iPad pro? - one of the images makes it look like the leather comes right up to the display, the other has quite a gap (they must be mock ups prior to actual production)

Neither are accurate... Bear with and I'll photograph...

Done - Swiping from the top and bottom is incredibly easy and from left and right is ok but takes making a slight adjustment.
