Just doesn't make common sense. When would you most likely need low power mode. At night. When would you most likely need night shift? At night. Get a clue Apple and at least give us the choice.

Daaaaamn son...nice find!
And if you have Night Shift enabled and Low Power Mode enabled and the battery usage of Night Shift makes Low Power Mode not very effective and you are basically not getting much benefit from Low Power Mode, what then, complaining that Apple's Low Power Mode is basically worthless and there's no point to it as it doesn't make much of a difference?

Good point. But from my personal test, with out LPM, my battery tanks. I didn't notice much of a difference once NS kicked in, but I'll watch it since I can activate w Siri.

I said this in the 9.3B6 thread. There is no reason that you would need LPM and Night Shift enabled at the same exact time. Anytime someone is really using Night Shift is when they are laying in bed and don't want the blue point light. If thats the case, the are either sitting next to a charger, or already have the device plugged in. In that case, LPM would not be needed. LPM is meant to only be enabled when you are out and about, not near a charger and need an extra 1-2+ hours of battery life.

You're need and my need are different. I like NS on at dusk. F.lux was always my 2nd tweak installed. And I don't have it turn off till 8:30 AM. So you may not have a need, but others, such as myself, do. Why I said, it should be our choice.

Unfortunately, Apple takes the same stance and determines a users need for them.

If one prevents the other one from working the way it's meant to work, then whether it's your choice or not, it doesn't mean you'd get both (and if both were allowed you'd think you are getting both but you really wouldn't be).

Yeah, speak for yourself. Once I discovered f.lux I never turned it off. And 9.3.3 Final lets you turn them both on so… yeah!
