For those that have the real Nike Sport Band, is it basically as soft as the Apple Sport Band but with holes?

I have a knockoff (black / grey) and the grey insert is a little more rigid than I thought it would be. Not bad for $5 when I got it on sale, but definitely not great. It's just really hard for me to spend $50 on a watch strap. lol

Revert it back to good old app, before Nike+ Run Club.

Nike+ Run Club app much better now than when it first released. There were definitely some issues when it first came out. It actually didn't get really stable with the Apple Watch until last month.

Like I said, I don't run unless something's chasing me, but the thing is, my dog (a greyhound) does like to chase me, so sometimes I DO run in a fenced in field with her and yeah, pillowy soles can cause rollovers on sharp turns. Fortunately I've got freakishly tough ankles to counter the fact my knees are shot, so I've not yet hurt myself. But I don't run that often so I am interested in trying these shoes out for walking. They do seem to be made more for looks than running, but they might surprise everyone.

I go on a modest five mile mixed trail hike/walk next week and wish I could try all this colorful gear out then, but won't have a chance and will make do with what I've already got. I'd like to use my Samsung sport watch but yeah...the band is not going to be comfortable under the California sun. So my original Apple Watch with one of my year 1 issued sport bands will do.

The funny thing about my life is that when I was young and ran around nonstop all day playing tag and climbing huge trees and running through the woods like a deer, I did it all in $3 no-name sneakers or no shoes at all! We had very little money when I was a kid, but feet are free! :D

I did the same in no brand or cheap K-Mart shoes like NorthStars or something like that (4 stripes eons before KSwishes existed) lol. Funny those shoes seemed to last a lot better than any shoes I owned for 20yrs: Nike Jordan 3's rocked 3 winters, 4 summers black shoe polish on Powder Blue felt and I mean really grimed in and 1 soap wash in the tub and EVEN the colour survived! Gave those shoes away and after 2yrs the kid in my building is STILL rocking those. 20yrs to find shoes that lasted longer than 8mths!

Yes, absolutely. The real Nike band feels really great, and the colors pop. Looking forward to the blue options when they go on sale.

"Sweat management." A phrase too stupid to exist.

Your Post it's just a case of sheer ignorance. Sweat management actually is a Real concept. What you're basically saying is you don't understand what it means and how fitness companies actually conduct studies on this and implement solutions it into products to better control it through materials and fabric.
