Another iGadget day.

"Back to the Mac" was just an empty marketing line. IMac's and Mac Pro's are gathering dust. The Mac Pro doesn't have a Thunderbolt port. The USB jacks are 2.0.

Yeah, most of the Mac lineup is " classic " you could even see calling the Mac Pro an antique. The new iMac was apparently just announced by HP. I guess HP said "well if Apple doesn't want to make it we will ".

Apple is selling iPad's in huge volume. They sell them at high prices on TV shopping channels. Target sells them. This is Apple's business.

Next month is iPad month.

Yeah, Mac Pro might as well be renamed to Mac Retro at this point.

I don't really like Apple's turn to more consumer oriented products. Although I must say, I do like the new rMBP (even with the lack of ethernet/firewire etc). I just wish they'd show some love to the rest of their line.

I go out of my way to avoid using cars as an analogy, but it seems strong here.

Chevrolet and Ford produce and aggressively promote the Camaro ZL1 and Mustang GT. They make sure it becomes the face of the model, but 95% of the Camaro and Mustang automobiles will be a vanilla shell of those models.

Apple has very aggressively promoted the Retina Pro with massive television advertising. They have made this high performance laptop the face of Apple computers, but the others have little in common with it.

That's pretty slick since the screens on the Air's most formidable competitors are much better. The Samsung Series 9 and Asus Zenbook Prime.

The HP Envy 15 and Sony S both have 1080P IPS screens and a new Envy goes for $1,300 with that screen. The "classic " 15"Pro screen is not in this league but the starting price is $400 more.

But Apple has etched the word "Retina" into the public's mind.

Can somebody with Chinese knowledge please translate this document? Especially this part:

Something about a 13" rMBP.

Let me translate this for you :D

Investment advise:
Honhai (2354) main products include Nintendo Wii U, 3DS LL、iPad mini、iPhone 5、Macbook 13"with Retina Display. These products will be available in the market in the second half of the year. August consolidated revenue was 12.158B. iPhone 5 and Nintendo Wii U are expected to be announced in September, while 13" Macbook product will be out in October. September's revenue will be record-breaking.

I'd be happy to.

It says "Though Apple did finally announce the iPhone5 today, they will disappoint many consumers by not also announcing the 13 inch Retina Display MacBook Pro or iPad mini. These poor folks will unfortunately have to be happy with their Wii U and Silly Nintendo 3DS LL for another few weeks. Don't expect that this will have any impact on Apple stock price as it shoots through the roof today. Grow up." Like that.

Thanks a lot!

Apple will say zero. Genius bar will say I don't see any. Apple sale guy will say I don't know this problem is existed. Executive Relation will say it is in Apple's specification. We all say every LG display.

Not sure how this helps the thread in any way, but I'll respond anyways. Yes, there are some image retention problems. Using the MacRumors people as an indicator of how many isn't useful. It is not every LG screen; there's been a few threads with people talking about their LG screens that are just fine. People complain more about products when there's problems than they say good things about products when things are fine. I'm not saying that there's no issue, but I do think people are blowing it out of proportion.

I was the one who said mine was fine. After using them for 2 months, the issue shows up. It is only the matter of time.
This will help a lot people not to have this nightmare by waiting a few more months until Apple fix the problem or wait until the next generation that has better design. Won't you want to have any problem? if you spent a lot cash on machine. Won't you want to go through what we have been going through?. I told you my experience that Apple is trying deny to solve and service. You have one choice to live with it or fight it. Don't be so sure if you own one LG. The more people hold off to buy, the more likely Apple will solve the problem. Apple needs a big push.

Like Steve Jobs said he like consumer market more than enterprise market because people like it. People will buy it. If not, people won't. It is simple and it is a signal to Apple directly.
