Other No 3D Touch? Totally unacceptable!!

I don’t think so Sam. The 3.5 mm Jack was a fairly monumental move Apple made when they removed it, as they even spent time during the keynote discussing why they removed it. 3D Touch [Although a great feature], was not understood by many consumers, because Apple failed to market it. The difference between the 3.5 mm Jack versus 3D Touch, the 3.5 MM Jack was a universal feature that’s been around for decades, 3D touch was more of a hidden feature that no one really knew about.

The only real complaints about 3D Touch being removed will be on sites like this, for those who are techies that understood how to use it. The 3.5 MM jack being removed, was an entirely different situation with the gravitation of Bluetooth becoming more predominant.

I did not participate in the useless poll. 3D touch is gone. If it keeps you up at night, you really have more serious problems to deal with.

Sounds like the idea of someone disliking the removal seems to be keeping some people up for some reason.

Apple should discard every “feature” since the iPhone 6 that added bulk and weight to the phone. The phones are too damn heavy. I wouldn’t consider an 11 because it’s too fat, too heavy.

I don't agree. My Xs Max has great call quality on VOLTE, which is prevalent everywhere I've gone in the last xx years. Except maybe deep into the desert in the southwest.

Sure, there’s the aspect of Apple doing whatever it is that Apple will do. There’s also the aspect that it doesn’t mean that it’s necessarily somehow right or good simply because of that. It likely won’t change anything, but that means it’s not worthy of discussion, in particular in online discuss

Yeah, pretty sure that’s been established 3D Touch is ‘gone.’ We get it, you didn’t like 3D Touch, others obviously do. There’s no need to be overly defensive in your manner. why do you have a problem with others responding to this thread? He has every right to respond and say, correctly, I think, that the poll is useless. Its stupid because it only allowed for the op‘s opinion. Even you can understand that, yeah? You certainly failed to convince me that I need 3D to touch. Haptic Touch is a perfectly fine replacement, once yoh learn how to use it. Attacking others for expressing that opinion makes no sense at all. hint: people are not aleays going to agree with you. Respectfully, then you misunderstood my post, because I’m not trying to convince anyone that they _need_ 3D touch, But some dismiss 3D Touch because I feel they don’t understood how to use it, therefore they think it’s not applicable due to the lack of understanding. There are those who actually understood how to manipulate 3D Touch to prove its usefulness, unfortunately, Apple didn’t see this value in terms of haptic touch expanding.

There are those who actually understood how to manipulate 3D Touch to prove its usefulness, unfortunately, Apple didn’t see this value in terms of haptic touch expanding.

3D Touch requires a more deliberate effort to activate it in my past experience. I liked it. Although I’m also ok that haptic touch has been a good enough replacement for me. Requires less effort and you literally can just rest your finger on an app to activate it. Nice. Also I can still peek and pop photos and videos in the photos app. You can still do the cursor movement on the keyboard.

Don’t think that peek and pop is one of the things that haptic touch can really do.

In the end, it’s lopsided to compare 3D Touch to haptic touch, they both try to execute similar tasks, but 3D Touch was almost immediate with the response time, where haptic touch has a delay, that I find quite annoying in it’s own right. But in the end, haptic touch has expanded quite a bit more since it’s inception little over a year ago.
