Worst day of my life. I want a cinema display for over 4 years now but I refuse to pay the current price tag for it's current specs.
Am I to understand you have been waiting on the sidelines for apple to put out a product that has better specs and a lower price than what is currently on the market?

I don't think the Cinema display will be updated unless the Mac Pro is updated. I'm just guessing: Mac Pro, Cinema display, Mac Mini--all will eventually be discontinued.

I hope I'm wrong too, but the aging outdated display, the aging Mac Pro, and the "downgraded" 2014 Mac Mini aren't good portents.
Absolutely, he posted a pure clickbait tweet the other day linking to another pure clickbait biased poorly written article by some guy peed off with Android TV. Really don't trust anything the person behind iMore says about Apple events! I have only ever seen them regurgitate rumours other sites have already reported on, never anything original.
Then again I don't want this monitor to exist based on the possibility they may drop the dGPU from the new MacBook Pro.

It sounds like the new MacBook Pros may be making an appearance after all. Whatever happens, these events never disappoint. As for Rene, it looks like he's now reached the circle of trusted writers who gets to leak stuff on behalf of Apple to set expectations.

You must be very young. Worst day of your life is someone you love greatly dies. Or when someone you love is diagnosed with an incurable, fatal disease... or you are. Etc.
It's not when a rumor about a big company releasing a tech product is followed by another rumor saying they are not releasing that product. There's plenty of great monitors you can buy out there.
Worst day? Put down the tech and go out and live a little in the non-tech world. There are many best days and worst days of your life to experience that doesn't even involve technology at all.
At the other end of the spectrum, I recall a "my life is now complete" post in a thread that pretty much confirmed a 5.5" iPhone would indeed be launching. What was that- 2 years ago? That poor guy. His life was complete 2 years ago and now it's all downhill waiting for death.
Maybe you and that guy should connect and then put down the tech and go have some experiences that yield much higher highs and lower lows than you ever get out of a slab of metal, glass, silicon and some electricity?
