From what I'm reading, the new iPhones will be 32GB, 128GB,......

I don't know about you guys, but 64GB was just perfect; the 32GB will be a tad too small for us, and 128GB is overkill.

I like that Apple dropped the 16GB, but there's a big gap between 32GB and 128GB.

Hopefully the pricing is the same as the old models, then all will be good. We'll know in about 5 hours!

Hopefully Apple will offer:

- 32GB base
- 64GB upgrade for a modest increase
- 128GB/256GB options

It's almost certainly going to be 32/128/256 though. Still, they could well add a 64GB option later down the line.

I can't fathom Apple changing the prices this year. Just adopt the perspective that you're getting double the storage for the same price.

Clearly, no matter what is offered, it will miss the 'sweet spot' of some user
If there is one thing I have learned from these Forums over the years, it is this... not everyone will be happy, but the sun will still come up tomorrow

I really think 32/128/256 is the perfect tier. 32gb is going to be plenty for the average user. So many people use cloud services that the 32gb is basically just storage for your videos and photos. Very few people go into the settings and change it to 4K video. Actually with live photos, I cannot remember the last time I even took a video.

Unless you live in the UK. Then it's, "The sun will come out some time in the next week or two...hopefully."

I'm not sure what you are complaining about, you basically get 128GB for the same price as the 64GB of last year...

Or maybe you wish 64GB was the base storage ? If that's the case then that might not happen in a long time.
Did you read the OP? Didn't really sound like complaining--merely hoping the storage bump =/= a price hike

This is why they kept 16/64/128 for 2 years, the upsell was incredibly lucrative compared to 16/32/64 in the years before. If they go 32/128/256 this time, the upsell will be even better.

Compare this to the note 7, you could get a 128gb 7 plus for the same price as a 64gb note.

Yes I read the OP but the fact that he/she said that 128GB is overkill make it feel like it's a complain. I may have misunderstood tho.

Still took them too long to remove 16gb as the base option. As long as prices don't increase for 32gb base, I guess it's a decent thing.

now i don't own the 6s but with 4k video recording, how quick does the storage fill up on a 16GB (with roughly 13-14GB of actual storage?). I have an 11 month old so as a new parent, my 6 has a lot of small video clips with still good storage left. i think 128GB would be a nice upgrade.

I would say quickly. Not only that though, a lot of people use apps which also take up space. What I liked with the 16gb model was that it forced me to stay honest with photos. After every trip I would have to organize and delete. Eventually though it became a hassle because I wanted to keep more photos on the device. I just think that for the price Apple charges for the base model, it should have been 32gb years ago.

agreed. no way in heck they stick with 16GB this year OR it should come free iCloud storage options.
