Besides the stock Apple Apps, why are no apps being optimized for the 6+?? I know they have all been updated to work with iOS 8, and I hear all apps work/look fine on the 6, but almost all of them look terrible on the 6+ They are zoomed in and don't take advantage of the massive screen.

Does anyone know if they are planning on supporting the 6+? Because as of right now it doesn't seem like that is the case. It makes me regret getting the 6+ when the huge screen isn't being used correctly :(

Facebook and the sky apps look **** on the iPhone 6! I'm sure there will be others!
Give the developers time, the phones only came out yesterday!

The phone is two days old. Give it some time. Remember when the iPhone 5 came out?, the apps were letterboxed, and it took six months for every app on my phone to look nice. I still have one "iPhone 4" app left, "Rev"

Well usually they prep their apps for the launch of the phone. I am afraid because apple said, "your apps scale up perfectly to the new phones, so you don't even have to change them!" I just don't hope they are getting the impression that they don't need to upscale their apps for the new phones.

I guess I'm just being impatient

Its been but only a day...Don't rush perfection...I would rather wait for it to be done correctly opposed to rushed to meet the launch of the device.

Chill out man! As a developer they are taking a much longer time approving apps than normal. We're talking 3 weeks for some devs. Also, Apple gave devs the shaft this year and gave basically zero heads up on how to deal with the new screen sizes. It literally is a mess that will take months to transition smoothly.

It'll come in due time.

Right now in certain apps it's feels like you're in the movies where everyone is using a computer or phone with 72pt font

Apple iOS app review is extremely backlogged right now. Even devs who have submitted app updates early may have to wait weeks to get approved (I submitted an app 15 days ago and I'm still waiting.) And I'm sure many wanted to wait until they could get their hands on iPhone6 for testing, you can't do reliable testing without having the device.

No one knew about the resolutions on the new phones before release other than Apple and maybe a could of bit developers. They have had 1 week to get their apps updated, submitted, and approved. It takes time.

I just got finished deleting a letterbox app the other day from my 5. This phone came out 2 years ago.

While I agree that correctly scaled apps would have been nice out of the box, it's just gonna make it sweeter when they are.

I haven't seen them yet on the 6+ but if they scale in a similar fashion as iPhone apps do on iPad, I can't imagine it's really that bad.

That's what happens when you try to be ultra secretive. I mean I understand the strategy but had they announced at least the screen sizes/resolution dimensions at WWDC as a teaser, devs could have had an earlier jump on it.

I agree most apps just look magnified and pixelated. It is what it is.

They'll take advantage of the new screen sizes in time.

It'll probably take a few months, unfortunately. Remember how bad it was when the iPhone 5 came out? Many smaller-tier apps took months to update to that, and many still haven't. The major apps should be taken care of in a week or two, though.

It sucks but we will have to wait.

Same with the iPhone 6 as well.

WhatsApp and Instagram look very awful right now. Super fuzzy. Just a waiting game now.

Yeah, it's going to take a few months for majority of apps to be updated. Right now, there's been just under two weeks for developers to both update, test ( only in simulator, too, many will want to test on real devices before submit ) and submit. There's no way that is a realistic time line for such a big change.
