I don't know why you don't... everybody should. See below:

It should look like this. Even with WiFi.

Wow both you guys have low bar signal. I'm glad I got a good reception phone even tho my phone was from the first batch Apple launch.

It's not my phone... I live in a town called Fuquay Varina... far from really anything. I get perfect signal about 5 miles down the road. I still get well enough signal to make calls though.

I can't say I've had too many problems with my phone. Sure, the death grip does apply when I'm in my house... but look at the signal strength and you can see why.

I do remembered having the option on setting the phone as new or back up and I went for the second option but I never imaging this could happen. The fact that I don't have a logo don't bother me at this time but it was strange from my end seeing it this way considering that my phone has not been jailbroken. I guess you learn by mistake.

Doesn't seen like you are roaming since the only carrier that support GSM 3G on the frequencies that the iphone use is AT&T.

the only thing I can think of is your carrier image file is corrupted (a simple restore should solve that), you restore from the jailbroken backup. ;)

((you could also be pulling our legs with a photopshop image jajajaj, doubt it))

I know what you mean, I got my "Hacked" carrier since 2.1 and once on my 3G the bottom half of the screen went dead so i took it to the apple store, the "genius" laugh at me, but since we couldn't really unlock the phone (bottom side of the touch screen wasn't working) he just game a new one.

I think it means that whatever network you are on has a MNC that doesn't have a carrier graphic assigned to it. Phones only know what network they are on based on the MNC (I think its called that.) and it takes a carrier file or roaming list to basically say "This string of numbers means "AT&T"" The iPhone takes it to another level by having graphics loaded on the phone itself to display on the bar. So if you NEVER see AT&T, that might just mean the AT&T graphic just is corrupted or doesn't exist. I would try reloading the carrier file, although, if it doesn't bother you, leave it. :)

I have had this explained to me in geeky terms, but I believe i got the gist of it. :D

How the hell do I make my home screen look like that? Love it!

I moved all my folders to page two and used emoji HD for the folder titles. Let me know if you're referring to the background and I'll go to my computer to post it.

No not that. Low your dock. Can you hit the little telephone icon and go right into your phone?
