Those of you who rock the 6 or 6+ naked, when you put your phone down on a hard table, counter, etc, do you just.... put it down, or do you make sure it's on a cloth/napkin or other soft surface? With the screen vulnerable on one side and the camera potentially vulnerable on the other side, I'm wondering what you do.

I currently have an ultra-slim TPU case on my 6 that doesn't protect the cam on the back, but it does have a very, very slight lip around the edge to keep the glass off the table surface. It's such a shallow lip though, that just pressing down on the center of the phone with my finger would make the glass touch the table. I find I'm super careful with this case on it, when putting it down, so I was wondering what people do when they have no case at all.

The camera can't be scratched. Even if you took a rock it wouldn't scratch. So I just lay it right down.

It doesn't wobble until you touch down on certain spots.

The wobbling doesn't bother me so much. Just not used to a camera that's so tough. Thanks for the input.

It's probably just me, but I usually lay it down with the front of the phone on the table. That's regardless of whether it there is a cloth on the table or not. Although when it's on my bed or couch, I lay it with the front of the phone showing.

The back of the 6 is quite tough actually. I've dropped it a dozen times in the last month and have one tiny little scratch at the bottom. I just lay it down on the back, as mentioned the camera glass is almost unscratchable sapphire, you'd literally need a diamond table top to mark it. I've got a zagg glass on the front so I could lay it that way, but that's more likely to get scratched than the aluminium back!

Not just you, me too. At least the front is flat. Well, on my phone it is.

I just set mine down. It's just a phone and I'll get a new one next year.

This. I've never actually thought about HOW I set it down, although in all fairness, I remember being concerned about it with my iPhone 3G and 3GS. But I've purchased every iPhone on launch day, and I'll probably do the same next year and the year after that, etc. It's just a phone! No need to baby it.

I set it on the table without anything underneath it. I've dropped it several times and I'm not concerned about scratches or dents.

Can you upload a photo of the TPU case you use?

I have a Skinomi on the back so that covers the aluminum. That's the only part of the phone I'd be worried about getting scratched. So I just set it down on any surface.

No-case 6-ers, how do you lay down your phone?

I lay it on something.

I've been putting it down fairly carelessly, either face up or face down, since launch and the only wear spots seem to be the anodization on the lower part of the camera rim's aluminum is turning more silver than space grey, and the opposite bottom corner's plastic antenna breaks have some light scuffing when viewed against a reflection.

Also, it's gone corner-first and face first straight into pavement from about 4 feet twice, totally bare. Got a little scratch on one corner, that's it.

The phones are durable, and deserve to be treated as such! If it breaks, I have applecare.

I usually carry a pillow with a duvet for my phone so that I can take a complete care of it when I need to put it down.

I put a skin on it (actually got two layers on those back/sides) which keeps the scratches away and also the camera barely protrudes anymore. If I'm going out whatever throw it in the Supcase (incredibly easy to insert n remove from) and thats it. I hate scratches too but wouldn't want to baby my 6plus & this has been a great solution so far. Brand of skin is Slickwraps (suggest waiting for a holiday promo code prob 1/3 off) and style brushed onyx.

Skins never appealed to me that much for some reason. Perhaps because they made the phone look cheaper, by covering it's expensive looking aluminium.
