General No change in Notes in ios12 ?

It’s early days I guess - but I was hoping there would be continued work on Notes. I think a lot of us are looking at it as an Evernote replacement. I have started using it ( since the last update) for an Evernote replacement but was hoping they would continue to fine tune it. There doesn’t seem to be any added changes in IOS 12 or Mac OS - or have I overlooked something ?

Inking on the iPad (and markup) with Apple pencil now has variable line thickness and many more colours. Haven’t found any other changes

Not to derail but I haven’t notice changes in many apps. Music, notes, maps, calendar, etc. I mean, they did say speed was the focus.
