Me would be very interested to know why neither Apple itself does not do much. IOS AppStore works, there is a list of applications that can be searchable, receive my updates available. For ATV4 NOTHING. Very sad. Like a sharp release of iOS 9.3 After so many beta versions and with so many Beta testers very, very sad.

TV AppStore is veeeryy unfinished, IMHO. Lacks sorting apps by newly arrived, and the search by letter does not do it justice, since NOT ALL APPS appear when you input first letter, for some , you have to input the whole first word. Just search by "S" and then compare with "SO" and "SU" ... So, you have to know what you are looking for. Also , integration with iTunes is null. No backup option ? No links on internet to apps possible ? Literally, hello, is someone even working on these features ?

That was true a couple of months before but with the much better 9.2 Siri you can search many different ways!

just side load Provenance on it and get all the old school nintendo, genesis, snes games on it. That and kodi. What more could you want plus the stock normal apps.

That's easier said than done if you don't have a Mac.

Pretty happy with the app selection really. More than enough content for me to watch between Haystack, Plex, Netflix, and iView. I also have tons of live video channels that I rarely ever get the time to watch and then there's iTunes I guess (never seem to need that either). Oh and a handful of internet video curating apps as well for when I get extra bored.

More games than I ever have time to play as well. Love all the racing games, party games, Provenance and excellent Sonic ports.

didn't know you couldn't do it with a windows computer.
no friends that own one that would help you out?
Nope afraid not, but no great loss to me as I've all the Nes,Snes,Master System, Megadrive/Genysis, Mame etc I could ever want on emulators on my WiiU.
Currently I'm a bit addicted to Zen Pinball on the ATV.

Why else would get an Apple TV if they don't have a Mac or another iOS device?
Erm to buy movies, stream from Netflix, NowTV and various other streaming applications, AirPlay from my iPhone, maybe even play the odd game or two.
It maybe just me, but even without an iPhone I don't ever recall there being a requirement to own a Mac or even another iOS device to use ATV3 or AT4 ever since I've owned them.

I have a Windows PC and have an Apple TV, I use Plex to stream from my Windows Pc to Apple tv, you have to be a moron to think you need a MAC
I have a WinXP Pc, and a ATV4, also i have android LG g3 phone, and two iPads. I'm a bit schizophrenic that way. Sidenote: Plex doesn't support WinXP no more ... Infuse and MrMC are doing the job, without conversion, too.
