THIS IS NOT TRUE. iCloud is available in the App Store and iTunes store to show purchases on any device running 4.3! Since Verizon isn't on 4.3 we won't be able to use this feature of iCloud.

I don't see any Apple branded official iCloud app in the the iPhone app store.

All I see is the cloud app simply named "Cloud" which I don't know if it's 3 party and is probably completely differ than what iCloud will be.

There is nothing to download. Just open the iTunes app on your phone, you'll see some new icons and tab that say "purchased, not on this phone"

I was really hoping we would get the cloud. I have it in my iPad and it works quite well for whatever it is right now.

That's like a small percentage of what iCloud will be. But thanks anyway, cause I never noticed that. I have some previous purchases I forgot about due to Apple exchanging a phone that broke. :D

it's not something that's officially released today tho!! lol. that's the madness of it. Official iCloud launch is Fall. people on 4.3 are just being guinea pigs to make sure it works. it's not a fully fledged thing that's available, it's not for devs to test, it's for apple to test. if devs want to test 5, they can on all devices. Being in the UK, we don't have the iTunes store part of the beta, do you see me bitching about it? no, cos it's a BETA, not official release.

your whole argument is mental! you're moaning about not having access to something that's in beta and not officially released! I agree with you on the home sharing thing tho, that's a bitch for you.

Wow, you have the worst tact I have ever seen. You wording tends to make your arguments far more personal then they should be. Perhaps step back and realize it's just one persons opinion over another.

meh i was tired so coulda put it better. but still, it's not opinion when they're claiming they're missing out on a fully fledged released product, when they aren't. the facts are there about iCloud, but verizon users are acting like hard done by children just cos they can't use a small beta.

There is iCloud for Verizon iPhones and iPads, just NOT NOW. Only GSM devices can use the small bits of iCloud that are publicly available. Hardware wise, all iPhone 4s have the same hardware. Only difference is the vibrator and 3G radios. But the stuff that you need to run a OS, CPU, GPU, RAM, etc.; is the exact same.

But come this fall, when iOS 5 and iCloud is available for everyone, Verizon customers won't miss out. So chill. Verizon sucks anyway, SIM card ftw. GSM is used globally, whereas CDMA is not. LTE is universally global though.

That's great and all but if your going to advertise that a service is available specify which devices its NOT on accurately. And I would take GSM phone any day of the week but the matter of the fact is I'm a soon to be college student on my parents family plan with Verizon and have no choice though I have personally paid for it (I put down about $1000 up front) I just couldn't justify going AT&T for more. So even though verizon "sucks" I sort of expected Apple to treat all of their devices equally. Once I'm out of college I'm definately planning on going with the carrier that provides the most universal standard even when all carriers have LTE I just feel GSM/UMTS will be around a long time.

but that's the point, the service does not officially roll out until the fall with iOS5 on all the devices!

people moaning about not getting the beta stuff that the GSM iPhone are getting is like everyone in general moaning that only devs can get access to the Beta of iOS5! just absurd.

You're only locked out of a beta... while yes, it's "unfair" and not 100% "equal", it doesn't mean we should assume it's going to stay that way into gold master (like some posts, but not yours in particular). I understand that there are personal factors when it comes to which carrier you use, but technology-wise, AT&T makes more sense. Most developers have GSM iPhones which are easier to use for app development anyway. I'm sure Apple will provide support for Verizon iPhones when iOS 5 + iCloud is fully functional and released to public.
