Not odd at all. Tenth anniversary year, TEN, X, 10, as Steve would say, "get it yet, it's one device".Sarcasm/trolling/joking aside, the numbering is a bit odd. But who cares what they call it as long as it works.
I get the reason for the ten. But it's not really "normal", for lack of a better word, to release products that have traditionally gone in numerical order, release two iterations in one day, and skip a number at the same time. Not odd at all. Lay bet that 20th anniversary will be iPhone XX.
My wife dont care 8 or 10 ... women they dont know nothing about tech so just get them anything new they be happy .......
It's called marketing. Follows no rules of logic. Someone has a brain fart and off they go. You can be sure had they made the 10th anniversary phone an iPhone 9, there would be someone on here saying it's "not normal".I get the reason for the ten. No No No. Your all wrong. Apple would never be so stupid to release iphone 10 to compete with new release iphone 8. The notion of even thinking such a thing is absurd. It's "X" as in "the X Men or X box. Neither of which mean the number 10. Looks like all of you we're fooled just like her![]()
Apply what George Carlen once said.........No silly. The "X" is where you sign to start your monthly payments for something Most people cannot afford and should not buy.

My presumption, Apple will still have iPhone 10 model after iPhone 9.. IPhone X (pronounce as Ten) is simply a different model to commemorate their 10th year anniversary. Why tech skip number 9 ,
window 10
iphone 10
any secret inside![]()
