From the new reports today saying the launch event won't even happen until late Oct, that puts the lower end iPhone releases in mid Nov and the Pro models not until Dec. WTF is wrong with Apple? Why can Samsung and every other manufacturer get their phones out right on schedule? Im about to trade in my 11 Pro Max for a Note 20 Ultra this week. Apple really screwed this one up.

I'm on my iPhone 6S, therefore iPhone 12 release date time sensitive, counting the minutes 🤣

Apple hasn't said anything since July when they confirmed they basically lied and admitted it would be delayed longer than "a few weeks".

LOL dramatic much? Have you forgotten that we’re in the middle of a pandemic still?

Everything this year has been screwed up I mean freaking Google has been on the cusp of releasing the Pixel 4A since March.

So for 13 years straight  has released their phones on time and the one year where all hell is breaking loose but oh no DexBell on the macrumors forums is demanding  stick to their normal schedule, life and pandemic be damned!!

Pixel 4a isn’t even on sale in many countries, so imagine what this pandemic has caused...

As a customers who spends hard earned money on all sorts of Apple products, I have EVERY RIGHT to call them out for screwing this up and dropping the ball like a bunch of amateurs. Everything about the 12 has been screwed up so far and dont even get me started on the other products they cant seem to get out either. They have become a joke.
Actually, no you don’t. Apple has never ever released a pipeline schedule. They have also never ever said they are releasing something at a specific time point. Just because they tend to release products around a certain time, doesn’t mean they are screwing anything up. Only joke here is you.

It’s a frickin’ phone. Get over yourself.

Android is a great option, but being a whiny butt about when the iPhones release is a real childish load of crap. You gave them an ultimatum after their stance was already made. Do you think Apple will be like “oh golly maybe we should launch earlier!” ?? Pfft

I’m sorry if you’re young and ignorant to how this stuff works and the current state of the world economy. Time to educate yourself.

Why? Everyone else can get their phones out on time. Sony and Microsoft are releasing two huge gaming consoles in a few months too. But Apple cant get their 5G crap together to launch iPhones on time? Pathetic.

Sony with thousands sold smartphones ?
MS and Sony released them but not sell yet 😀

Not quite. Iirc, the 4S was released later than the previously established schedule. So were the X and XR.

Samsung got their S20 out a month EARLY, on March 6th, smack in the middle of the worst part of the pandemic in most the world. The Note 20 came out Aug 20, right on time. Oppo released the Oppo Find x2 Pro on March 8th, smack in the middle of the worst of the pandemic. Huawei released the P40 on April 7th. Again, smack in the middle of the worst part of the pandemic. Why cant Apple get their phones out on time? They are blaming supply delays but its clearly not suppliers fault as these companies all use the same suppliers for the most part. Apple dropped the ball big time.

But they don’t want an epic fail. Honestly, from my point of view launching such an important device (for them) now is a very bad idea. Google the sales of galaxy S20 (nearly a 50% less than the s10).

All the Apple stores in my town (Madrid) are closed due to the pandemic, I don’t see Apple launching an iPhone if a lot and f stores are closed in many countries.

The iPhone is the crown jewel for Apple, they can’t waste this shoot.

COVID won't be gone in Dec either...

Let’s see if the iPhone 12 is out in December...

Low end models will be out in Nov. I’m betting the Pro models are pushed into Dec. Apple said the phones will be delayed “a few weeks” which is turning Into at least a month. So when they say the Pro models will be lauched “a few weeks” after the low end models, expect at least a month. So Dec.

I think it’s vital that everybody remembers, this thread is meaningless in the sense that it doesn’t portray the average consumers mindset in terms of they don’t care about a delay or not. It doesn’t affect Apple one way or the other if they release the phone a month after the ‘normal’ launch. Every time someone claims that ‘Apple is failing to do this or that‘, they (Apple) has proven them wrong with quarterly reports, net earnings and overall growth.

There’s not one consumer that is going to drop Apple because it ‘didn’t launch on time‘, that’s a fact. Nobody has that type of mentality to abandon a smart phone and purchase a competitor smart phone, not when there are way too many local ties into Apples ecosystem, let alone the experience iOS can’t be replaced.

OP must have just got into the Apple game.
In case you haven’t noticed Apple does what it does on Apple’s time.
Doesn’t matter what other smartphone makers are doing.
If I gotta wait till December I’ll wait. Not a deal breaker.

As much as I would love to latest and greatest iPhone as soon as possible. It will screw up all of those customers who are on the IUP program in terms they will it will cost them more to get back to the launch day cycle the following year.

sure there is, I’m one of them. I’m sure there are plenty of others too. This isn’t 2009 any longer where Android is slow, laggy, prone to crashing and cheaply made,. Plenty of high end Android phones to choose from these days. You are crazy to think Apple is the only game in town.

Go on then. Put your money where you mouth is and do it.
