This EE/Orange/T-Mobile thing is confusing so have a look at this FAQ I put together:

http://gazedice.com/2012/09/11/faq-on-everything-everywhere-4g-lte-rollout-in-uk/

I was at the LTE launch on Tuesday and its simple.

iPhone 5 will be available ONLY on EE.

BUT EE hasn't launched yet so for now you can get it on Orange and T-Mobile and move to EE when it is available.

My understanding is that as soon as EE is available you won't be able to get the iPhone 5 on Orange or T-Mobile but it won't matter as EE is essentially the same thing as they own the network, in fact ALL stores will be rebranding EE and sell all three brands, even though they are the same network.

Oh and they knew about the iPhone 5 and nano-SIMs as they had to work with Apple to have the phone work on LTE so ignore every person on the phone or instore. The will have nano-SIMs at the latest by release day if not sooner as you said above and that is also why they don't show on Apples site because EE is the ultimate carrier for iPhone 5 not Orange or T-Mobile.

Thanks for that info! I just spoke to Orange and they said that they have no nano sims in stock yet, and their first allocation of them will be going to the customers that preordered the iPhone 5 and took out a new contract with them! D: She said it'll be around a month until they have enough sims to send them out to customers just needing the nano sim. I think I'm going to cut down my micro sim.

On the good side I just ordered my iPhone! :D

I wonder if Apple Stores will carry stock of Nano SIMS. They certainly always used to carry every networks SIM. I'm trying to find this out just now from ex colleagues.
