No Jet Black Plus on launch day...why?

Tell me about it. And I started refreshing the store app at 2:59am EDT and the store came alive 2-3 minutes after that so it was pretty frustrating. I ended up getting a silver 7+ 128. There were plenty of the 7's though in all colors.
Yeah, I'm guessing most people that ordered within the first 3 hours or so will get theirs on launch day. This happens every launch where Apple underdelivers their shipping dates. I am taking PTO next Friday with confidence that I'll get mine even though my order currently says 10/5/16.
Wow! Congrats. You truly are the only one I've seen with a 128 Jet Black Plus and a launch day delivery. Interesting that you got it from a carrier site rather than Apple. I had a bad experience ordering from AT&T one year, so have used the Apple app ever since. I think I could see mine before my Sept 26th delivery date, but seriously doubt it will be here on launch. Apple's estimate wouldn't be that far off.

I wouldn't be that confident. That normally happens when people actually have launch day dates. No one has a launch date for the 128.
Perhaps, but I wouldn't be surprised if everyone gets shipping notifications next Thursday.

Not at all. I had pretty much the same shipping date when the iPhone 6 came out and got it on launch day. I've been through this preorder rodeo before.

How do you know that no one is getting one on launch day? Did you just come back from the future?

I didn't say no one is getting one. I said no one has a delivery date stating so.
I agree I looked at last years preorder emails and Apple quoted me 10/16-10/23 but I still received it on launch day. Got my shipping notification on Weds. So fingers crossed for tomorrow.
i wonder if apple deliberately holds back so they can analyse where the demand is, particularly with a new finish.
