no luck in setting up wirelessly my Canon printer

Im trying to connect/setup my Canon Pixma iX6850 printer on my iMac thats using High Sierra but i have n idea where to begin. Ive pressed the printer's wifi button shouldn't i be seeing it in my wifi list on my imac?

All I know is see if your router can see the printer! If I can just put that IP in your favorite browser and use it’s wiki page!

You are correct, WPS was not enabled on the router! Once enabled all is fine now. 😉
