Can we have a round one please? As an option? Years of watch use have made it clear that a square screen is not a requirement. Complications can be designed to fit any shape, and on watch apps don’t tend to use the corners or don’t really need to if they use them.

Wondering if the exciting Watch bands ‘connector’ made it difficult for all new re-design.

"completely destroyed" 😀

Yes when you click on a workout, and it jumps to the one that is half off the screen above or below, and then you eventually get to the correct workout, you have to hit the play button 4 times before it launches, I consider it ruined.

Fitness and run tracking is the only thing I want a watch for.

There is thread after thread on Apple's forums of people with the same issue.

Higher peak brightness, more contrast, better colour repro, better power efficiency & decreased burn in risk.
I’m pretty sure it’s not possible to have better contrast than OLED. And power efficiency, because the inactive pixels use NO energy in OLED. Burn in risk sure, brightness possibly. I’m not sure about color

I got my Ultra 3 in February and love it, only take it off to charge and shower. I find it a lot more comfortable than my Series 8 was.
Personally I do not expect a redesign until they get the blood glucose thing working, then I think they’ll redesign it.

I've never heard of that and never had it happen to me once. Still doesn't sound like it's completely destroyed, but would be inconvenient.

The chip has been identical since the Series 9, they just call it something different ever year. Imagine if the iPhone or Mac had the exact same speed with fake new names every year....

so glad I moved to the Garmin Fenix line. No desire to integrate messages and such on my watch but that's me. For fitness tracking there is no compare. Battery recharge is once every 7-10 days for an hour. Sleep tracking and biometrics are so superior without having to recharge every day. Finally, the square design was getting so tired.

I have a couple of spare Stainless steel Milanese bands. I have only worn out one and I figured out what did it, so the second was been on 16 months with no visible signs. of wear. Thus the thought of getting Ultra 3 as the bands can continue to be used.

I've read that with micro LED it's possible to control each pixel individually, so you save power that way.

But it's very early tech and way more likely to appear first in an expensive ultra.

Me, I'd settle for better battery tech. And less wasteful liquid glass transparency on a device with a small battery and weaker processor.

Was not expecting to see any redesign. However there were some rumors regarding TouchID coming to the watch. Waiting to see whether that will be true.

There is a slight possibility that there are 200 years’ worth of examples of different watch designs. But I could be wrong.
While true, the Apple Watch is a small computer that has watch functions and not a traditional watch. We use rectangular shapes for computer monitors (smartphones, laptops, desktop screens, etc.) so one for a small computer on our wrist makes the most sense. Would I buy a round Apple Watch? If it was the only version sold, but keeping it square makes more sense and allows for more continuity between Apple products (rectangular screens).

Are we sure they're not just feeding Gurman WHATEVER at this point to go hypothesize somewhere?

Micro led is different than mini led though

I've been saying I'll upgrade every year for the last three of four years now. My Series 3 is still doing just fine, wearing it just for working out and my monthly Disney World trip to track steps. Guess I'll keep it going for another year or two.
