I did not look at the pricing card. He just put my info into his tablet and said that there was no longer the 2 year option. I believed him so I left and ordered the new line and phone online. You're right I should've ask more questions. Now I have to wait a few days for my new phone. That is incorrect, the rep probably didn't want to sell you a 2 yr contract because it affects their numbers in regards to Next percentage sold. If you look at their pricing cards of the phones 2 yr contracts are still present and available. 3rd party vendors I believe stopped doing 2 yr in early June. Next time ask for a manager if they deny you a 2 yr contract...

Corporate ATT store. Are you at a "authorized ATT store" or a real corporate ATT store?
Corporate ATT store.
The uncarrier doesn't do contracts, they were the first one to drop subsidized pricing and contracts. If they don't offer 2 year contracts anymore I'm going over to T Mobile.

I'll not argue that point - as long as T-Mo has similar or better coverage for your area, then it makes sense to jump over to them.Yup, I just think T Mobiles non contract menu is better than AT&Ts.

Time to just kill off that archaic 2 year contract. Going forward, maybe even do away with NEXT and just start selling phones full retail.
I went with my sister yesterday when she upgraded her phone and she was told this would be the last time she could do the 2 year contract.

Yeah the girl was a real treat too and tried to convince my sister to "save" money by eliminating the grandfather unlimited data plan. With the way they use data having the unlimited would be saving money. Anyways.

Sounds right to me. At every opportunity, AT&T pushes Next.
2 year contracts are still available in store.
