Jailbreaking is wonderful. It opens up the iphone to what it can really do. I have found that Clippy (Copy and Paste) works flawlessly. Just one of the many features that jailbreaking brings that people complain about DAILY.

Okay, I tried the fixPNG trick and it seems to be working so far. I've rebooted once and the app still opens. I'll have to see how long this lasts. Thanks for the tips.

I used to be the same way. After discovering SBSettings, I just remove themes and whatever other tweaks I've made rather than restoring. Don't think I could live without it.

Try running jailbreak without themes, the phone is just as snappy as a nonJB phone.

IMO When people add all their customizations that is when the lag becomes apparent

The majority of people state that one of the main reasons for jailbreaking is to change themes (nobody does it because they steal games).

Now you're admitting that there is lag when people add customizations......the very fact why people JB in the first place!

Oh I forgot one thing.. if you want to change your carrier to a fake carrier or change the time on the home screen to display a message, you can use caption crunch for mac. Its free. You will have to google it , as I don't have the link handy. This mod will work with both jailbroke and vanilla phones. Just thought I would put that out as well.

What you want people to believe is the running the jail break program will slow the phone down, cause lag...not true.
What is been stated in many posts and across a number of forums is that themes and other customizing can cause lag. that is not a secret and I am sure not many people would argue, except you of course.

that info is available on various websites with tutorials.

My phone is has not had any issues. no crashing, no lag, nothing so I would say this little endeavor was a success.

I have been using this method for a little while now and my Apps are still launching... it seems as though you found the perfect solution to customizing without WinterBoard. Great job dude!
