Solid source confirms there will be no Mini but a new cheap Max version. I would like it since I want bigger screen but not the price and weight of Pro Max, and I don’t need the third camera. How about you? Would you buy Cheap Max 14?
I'm on the other end of the spectrum and would prefer to buy a pro mini as, to me at least, phones are something I use while on-the-go and I'm not exactly going to watch videos or play games while I'm out. I do think there's a big market for a 14 non-pro Max though. Many of the 20-somethings I know from work use their phone as their primary device, with a good number not even owning a computer!
Yes it looks like the SE3 and Iphone 13 Mini will be the only small iphone options from Sept 2022 onwards. So no small iphone with the A16 chip and iphone 14 features. I can imagine that there will be a lot of people buying this iphone 14 Max (non pro) if it is priced correctly, and not just in the line up to up sell people to the Pro Max version. I just wish that Apple would offer the Iphone 14 Pro in a 5.8 screen size as a compromise for no Iphone 14 Mini variant.Look like the only small phone will be SE3
The first scenario is more likely and should push the average sale price up presuming they don’t cannibalize a significant number of Pro Max customers. So the lineup will be:
iPhone 14 $799
iPhone 14 Max $899
iPhone 14 Pro $999
iPhone 14 Pro Max $1099
There will need to be more differentiation between the regular and the Pro models. Maybe if Apple priced the models:
iPhone 14 $699
iPhone 14 Max $799
iPhone 14 Pro $999
iPhone 14 Pro Max $1099
I’d like them to raise prices and add more premium features such as a PWM-free brightness controller.iPhone 13 is priced $829 today, not $799.
iPhone 14 (6.7") will likely start at $929.
I'd expect iPhone 14 Pro to start at $1,099 given the notable changes and to put some distance between the mainstream models.
I enjoy my 13 Pro but these devices are becoming too heavy for what they are so unless they come out with titanium models I’ll probably keep this one or get a non pro model.
I’d like them to raise prices and add more premium features such as a PWM-free brightness controller.
$999 seems to be the sweet spot for a modern Pro smartphone, although I wouldn’t be upset if they eventually raise the pricing of a standard iPhone to $999 and Pro models hit $1,199+ presuming they have the features to justify a more expensive price point.

Their are no 'solid' sources. Last year the so called 'solid' sources got completely wrong the iPad Mini launch date (even on the actual day of its launch) and the design of the Apple Watch Series 7, to name just 2 of the mistakes. I made better predictions to myself then the apparent professional leakers and analysts managed to.
These days you cannot trust a thing 'sources' claim until Apple themselves state it or do it.
I'm still on the fence about what iPhone to get but think I'll wait to see what the 14 is like. I did have a play with and enjoy the 13 Pro, but I really need a new iPad and computer first. iPad first probably.
Mini sales number is bad. Big screen cheap iPad would boost the sales number.
...which I wouldn't necessarily call "small", as it's larger than the mini.Look like the only small phone will be SE3

It's all relative, some wouldn't consider millions of phone sales as bad. And the iPhone Mini so still said to have sold millions. So I wouldn't take the word of leakers and analysts who's track records haven't been very good over the last year. Apple has got a lot better at keeping secrets.
That's what I'm hoping for. My 11 PM is really teetering on the edge of being too heavy, a non-pro Max with aluminum and lighter weight would honestly be a dream.
Yeah, I'd say "less expensive" would be a better description than "cheap".Depends how you define cheap. My guess max will be 899 starting
Yes I would absolutely buy 14 max as I like larger screens. Currently have 11 Pro Max and a Note9. Waiting to replace Note9 with either 14 Max or 14 Pro Max. Read that some version(s), likely 14 Pro Max, may not have the notch. That will be a factor in my decision.Solid source confirms there will be no Mini but a new cheap Max version.
