2. 64GB capacity is a poor argument for delay.

Samsung's 64Gb toggle DDR 2.0 NAND flash memory hits production

...3 weeks ago. The flash memory used by the iPhone 4 is supplied by Samsung. Didn't Apple just recently enter into a deal with them for some unspecificed iPhone/iPad components? Having only recently gone into production, I would say that it's reasonable that they would not have been available for the production of a June iPhone release.

Most of us are due for an upgrade, and sure many of you can say is just wait.. well some of us NEED phones. Now unfortunately, in July I am due an upgrade and I am going to have to get the Iphone 4 now (Iphone because I prefer the software to android and others) and now I will have to deal with a 24 month contract.

And I give up, everyday wether or not the you should ugprade or not ,everyday the answer will be just wait because they release these things so quickly, and I waited and to my disappointed and my bad luck, no iphone in time for my upgrade. Now later this year when the Duel Core Processor and upgrade cameras are released, I will be stuck using the older Iphone 4.

Can't you just do a month to month contract with your carrier until the next phone is released?

Why do you NEED a phone? You are upgrading so you already have a phone, I'm sure it could wait two months.

Sure it did! If they would have waited with the usual release cycle, (this Summer), then Apple would have revealed the new hardware as usual. Instead of holding back because they just re-released a 6-month old phone with new radio.

Can you imagine all the pissed off Verizon users if Apple would have made their iPhone 4 version obsolete in less than 6 months?

Can you imagine how pissed off AT&T users would be in Apple released a new phone halfway through their contracts??? Wait a second...

ha. I've patiently waited a year with my 3GS hoping there'd be at least a mention of the next iPhone. Not expected, but a let down non-the-less.

What would be even worse would be to patiently wait another 4 months for a warmed over iPhone4 late September.

Apple has definitely put the iPhone on the back burner this year.
