Oh no I'm not offended, that's what they should be. A new iPad 2 16GB is $360 at Microcenter. I am offended by the crazy asking prices around here.

Well, the "no offense" thing was really unnecessary I would say. But my main point was to not have you over pay for the iPad 1 16GB, it should be the price range I stated. I don't believe you should be paying, and posting an add for that much. Right now I could post and ad for a $250 iPad 2, and may get some hits.

I sold my White 32GB wifi only on CL here in Hawaii for 560 then got my new iPad.

Sold my iPad 2 16GB 3G for a fair $415 the day after release announcement. Could have gotten more if I hadn't waited so long.

Though I didn't follow the rule... the rule of thumb is to always sell it before announcement... and definitely before release date to get the most money back for your upgrade purchase.

I put my 16g 3g on cragslist for 400 and just got stupid replies and spam, put it on ebay buy it now and sold it that night. Way safer than craigslist too!

Beware there are as many or more scammers on eBay as there are on Craig's -- and how much did eBay and PayPal charge you? In the end you got less than $400, right?

Unless the buyer pulls the old trick of claiming they never got it. Then they get their money back and have a free iPad.

You've never sold on e-bay. To be able to claim you never go it and win the case either the buyer would have had to not ship it or if he did you can prove it by showing the tracking info. It's not as easy as that to scam but, you can say it's broken.

I shipped it via UPS with signature on delivery

I charged 15 for shipping and ebay took 13 bucks...so 402 in the end.

The main trick is to watch announcements. The supply chain rumors and even rumors added up to end of feb to sell iPad 2. Got 400 for my 16 gig wifi. Had some morons who tried to low ball me with "you know there is a new one coming so sell it to me now while you can for 350."

Finally after like 2 days I got a "I want it" text and that night they owned it. Did not lower price at all.

Sold my black iPad 1 64gb with 3G for $375 last week! I was kinda shocked I got it. The guy that bought it from me was great, no haggling.

I just bought a 64gb verizon ipad 2 on craigslist for $480. I feel that price is more than fair since it is only a matter of time until ATT and Verizon sell them brand new for $499 like they did last year with the ipad 1.

You guys should have used amazon trade in. It's easy simple and safe.

I got $450 no hassle trade in for my sister 64gb wifi only iPad 2. Amazon was giving $500 trade in credit for 64gb iPad 2 3G models last week. The price dropped a bit a few days ago. Getting an extra $50 isn't going to make or break my sister.

Amazon trade in is fair especially since a lot of us shop on amazon.

I also went with Amazon. $245 for a 16gb iPad 1 WiFi. I know I could have got a few bucks more on CL or eBay but I simply didn't want the hassle or worries. Amazon paid for the shipping and the only work I had to do was put it in the box. Amazon credit is the same as cash for me.

I listed my 16gb wifi iPad 2 -- used since November, no box or accessories, one very very minor dent -- for $340. I sold it within two hours and had plenty of other interested people to fall back on.

Wirelessly posted

I listed my iPad 1 3G 16 gb for $240 and got offered $150 to $200

Listed iPad 2 wifi white 32gb for $425 and got offered $350 to $375. I think I'll go the Amazon route.
