I hated the regular zagg with the tacky feel but the zagg glass -maybe a little gimmicky -is pretty nice. I bought it for smudges more than anything. It handles them better than the regular glass. At least that is what I have found.

Always used screen protectors on past iPhones. Even bought one for both of our new 6+s this time around. Didn't fit right (too small), so I'm going naked for the first time. Maybe it's just my imagination but the screen looks better. Plus, I always have applecare.

Always had a screen protector of some sort .. The ones these days if put on properly you can't even tell they are there. And if you get a scratch just replace it. I'm surprised how much people hate them here.

If you've got a case with a decent sized lip around the screen, why do you need one? It helps with less surface area being exposed in your pocket and lessens the likelihood of contact on a bad drop. I only had one scratch on my screen, and it was the iPhone 3G. You could barely see it when the screen was on. Since then, I've had every iPhone and never had a problem. I've worked everywhere from IT, to construction, to now CNC machines/machine shops.
