Firstly, why the hell are you digging up threads from 1 year and 2 months ago that you fail to read the first post! secondly you need to remove all the setting files? thirdly why are you posting a question here when it should be in the support part of the forum? dear god I wish there was execution of those who post stupid stuff to forums.

Dude.... Seriously.... Execution? WTF is your problem? Calling for an execution of someone who posted incorrectly on a forum? CHILL OUT! This person was asking for help. Who cares if it was in the wrong forum, or if the answer was already posted and they missed it.

It's people like you that give Mac users a bad rep for being pompous jerks who feel they are above and beyond everyone else.

Cool out, son.

Pay for your softwares!! I went from a pc to a mac. PC softwares costed an arm and a leg.. I've notice that Mac softwares are reasonably priced after doing some searching.
I am so happy I got iWorks. It was only 40 or 50.00 compare to office which can cost couple hundred. Thanks Apple! :)

+1 It is people like this that make me feel ashamed to be a mac diehard. I wish there would be an execution for people that were forum nazis, I would be first in line to watch!

I know sarcasm doesn't really sit well on the net but guys, seriously; d'-you think the dude was serious ??... maybe chill pills all round eh ..

First off... I know the thread is old
Second... I know it is seriously off topic now

But... in case someone by accident stumbles on the thread, here is a suggestion for the issue brought up by frontmanbr because it is a legitimate issue for people who download the trial and then purchase a boxed copy

i think this is the file that is causing the problem - com.apple.iWork09.Installer.plist
it is in library->preferences

i think you will have to delete these files... and reinstall from the new retail disc

<bootVolume>:Applications: iWork '09

<bootVolume>:library: preferences: com.apple.iWork09.Installer.plist
<bootVolume>:library: preferences: com.apple.iWork09.plist

<bootVolume>:Users:<userAccount>:Library:preferences:com.apple.iWork.Keynote.plist
<bootVolume>:Users:<userAccount>:Library:preferences:com.apple.iWork.Numbers.plist
<bootVolume>:Users:<userAccount>:Library:preferences:com.apple.iWork.Pages.plist

I downloaded the trial and decided to pay for it. I work for a software company and don't like the idea of someone stealing our software... so I went the honest route and paid for theirs. I'm proud of having zero pirated programs on my computer :D

When Microsoft charge at least £200 for both Windows 7 and Office 2007, being a student i tend to think differently... :p ;) :D

We can increase the time period of the trial by changing the date of our :apple: mac

First of all, turn the net connection off, go to the time preferences, change the date to a few days back and enjoy ;)

(This can be done only if the trial version has not expired :D)

I bought iWork 09 as I got kind of tired of the free open source pkg. I like the Apple policy on serials actually. and the prices. and how I can upgrade to Snow Leopard instead of getting a whole new format and start over like windoze which also then crashes. If you really want to execute someone that everyone would agree with try Bill Gates!

That's just stupid. Bill Gates is probably one of the most generous people on the planet. He's donating billions to help the world get rid of mosquitos and AIDS, yeah good idea dude.

having troubles

so...i am new to the whole mac computer thing. i purchased my computer in may, and still learning things. i had downloaded a trial version of the iWork, and when the trial was over, i purchased iWork from a dealer on Amazon. when i installed the CD, and then clicked on the "numbers" that was already on my "dock" form having the trial, it is prompting me to put in the serial number. but it is also saying that if i purchased the box, to just install the cd. but this is not working for me. someone please help!!!

re installing

I am having a big problem with all my I Work apps. I can't open any of them for whatever reason.
I have the Mac Box Set from Apple if I need to reinstall do I delete what I have now? Do I start from OSX Snow Leopard also? as is indicated when you first install?
