The iPhone has a weather and stocks widget in the notification center... Why doesn't the iPad? There is so much more screen real estate. Apple could create a lot more potential with that screen.... Kinda disappointing

What makes you think there's no weather widget for ipad. They said iOS5 has a weather and stock widget in the notifications screen.

I sure don't see the weather ans stock on my ipad2 running ios5. Maybe it will come at a later release. If there is, please point out where it is. Thx.

Given that the iPad doesn't have a native weather or stocks app, this doesn't seem particularly surprising.

Have you tried swiping down more when you're on the Notification Center? I hope it comes out eventually for it. It'd be a bit weird if they just left out those two features. It kinda threw me off when I got my iPad and realized that it didn't come with a weather or stocks app

I'm guessing it'll be part of a later iOS5 beta build. Looks like the notification center still has some kinks to get out of it. The keynote was pretty clear that there would be weather and stock widgets in notification center, iPhone and iPad (eventually).

Possibly because with no weather app there's no way to set what location(s) you want weather for? The same would apply for stock selection.

This will probably get fixed before release, either by introducing Weather and Stocks apps for the iPad or by making those settings available in Settings.
