we were the noisy neighbors

:apple:yup lol hate to admit it on a thread where you bash noisy neighbors. but yes we WERE one of them familys. then my bro moved out and theres no noise at all on our street anymore. lmao besides our dog. but if u hate it then i give u permission to have a fair fight with my rottweiler. that means no guns, knifes,or kicking oh and if your human in this fight u may NOT use your arms;) :apple:

No, but I have four kids... 2-15. You can imagine the rest: 2 TVs, 4 ipods, PS3, 4 computers and countless toys that recite ABCs, animal sounds, trucks etc. Some days it's a break to go to work.

PS - I love my kids.

I tried to patent a noisy neighbor elimination system, but the PTO said the device looked like a gun, and the police inspector said the patent application looked like it was murder to write.

for me its a break going home ... too many people at work. sounds echo so its a relief just to go home

I live underneath a Sasquatch who works the night shift at CNN. He comes home at around 2 am and stomps around for hours. At times it really sounds as though he is hurling bowling balls to the floor for some unknown reason. It is a really good thing that I'm a heavy sleeper. I only know about his strange schedule because of those horrible nights when I haven't gotten to sleep before his arrival home has kept me up for the rest of the night

OMG that's exactly what i'm experiencing for weeks now!

I just today wrote a letter to the tenant above me saying something like can you please stop moving around your furniture or whatever you're doing at 3 a.m. and stop running around in heels.

**** I HATE PEOPLE sometimes. Some of them just have no IQ and self-awareness and respect for other people's standard bed-times.

I love where I live, but there is one problem. I have great neighbors, only 3 others live on my street. I live in a wooded area by a river in a very populated city. My city has a high crime level too. Right behind my 2 neighbors, are these habitat for humanity homes that we sold the land to, and beyond that is what we call "the ghetto". It's run down, all the crime is down there, drug trafficking, loudness at any time of day, but it has gotten MUCH better. I've been waiting 10 years for them to tear down those things, and it might come soon hopefully.

Other than that, i love my neighbors. We treat each other all great. We all shovel eachothers driveways, give each other firewood, look out for their houses, etc.

last year was bad, I lived in a fraternity house and one of my brothers who lived right below me found it necessary to have sex with his extremely loud gf at 4am every night. The first time it happened my roommate and I woke up and thought it was happening in the parking lot, but realized that the vents were carrying the noise from the room below us

Now that i've moved off campus, I supposed that I'm the noisy neighbor because of my subwoofer. I try to accommodate my neighbors as much as I can though when using it.

I was a noisy neighbor, I play bass, which even when played at low volume carries....When I lived in a townhouse (endunit)...Neighbors next door were never home, so they werent bothered..Neighbors on the other side (unattached), would frequently complain, but they would always let their dog outside barking at all hours of the day and night without any concern for others, so I was like f'em..If it wasnt for that I would have been much more respectful.

That is quite hard to find in Chicago.

Yea, I think we are the noisy neighbors, but no one has complained. I have a little black pom who will bark whenever anyone knocks at the door but doesn't bark as much as the other dogs in the building. We'll have friends over every once in a while, but we try to keep them fairly quiet. We had a xmas party but we told our neighbors around us as courtesy, except for the french lady beside us, we had the landlord talk to her about it.

On the other hand we do have neighbors upstairs who seem to have heavy feet but it doesn't bother me, i do wonder if they walk extra heavy sometimes though.

I have good neighbors, no noise from them and they even help us sometimes like good neighbors. I remember one year one neighbor just used his snowblower and got rid of all the snow in my driveway.

I think my upstairs neighbor must have Tourette's Syndrome or something. He yells to himself in the shower, slams the bathroom door and toilet seat, and is generally a complete twit.

We're finally moving in a couple of months. CAN'T WAIT.

WOW! That is one interesting neighbor. I just moved like 3 days ago and I absolutely love the idea of not putting up with kids screaming so loud, creepy cat man (he stinks like cat pee), and crazy split personality guy... I also left for other reasons too.

Our old place had typical thin Japanese walls so you could hear everything your neighbors did.

Unfortunately, our neighbor lady was screamer and both her kid and well, during the heat of the moment in the middle of the night.

Now we live in a concrete type apartment building. So much nicer ... and quieter.

Our neighbours are not too bad but when they are, man, you can REALLY hear it. This flat is so NOT soundproof. I really don't like it because I feel like I have to be overly-quiet in my own home if I don't want to be overheard. :-/
