Nomad Rugged MagSafe case left this ring on my phone

Edited the original post because I don’t feel comfortable promoting this case anymore.
I wanted anyone interested in this case to see this. The case was on my phone for four hours. It was never on a charger of any kind. It left this ring on the back of my phone in that short period of time. Buyer beware.

Thank you for reaching out to us! I'm sorry to hear about the marks on the back of your iPhone after removing your Rugged Case with MagSafe. This ring is completely normal and may appear regardless of whether or not you use a MagSafe charger with your phone inside the Rugged Case with MagSafe.

The ring can be easily and completely removed without damaging your device by wiping down the back of your phone with a clean cloth.

I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. Please do let me know if there is anything else I can do for you.

I'm tempted to order one since Nomad gave me a 50% off code but I've been happy with my black Apple leather case so it kind of seems like a waste. I'm curious how long it'll take for people to start complaining about marks left on the leather by the MagSafe charger.

Looks like it's the metal in apple's magsafe charger doing it not the cases, the new belkin 3 in 1 has plastic and not doing it apparently.

I also have the Apple leather case in black. I’ve never had a Nomad case before, so I’m going to see how this case is. I had a 15% off coupon, so that brought the price down a little.
I have no interest in MagSafe, but I see some like using it. I’m also curious about whether or not it will mark up the case after using that to charge it. I just use a Qi charger, so no worries here.

They just asked me on insta for my proof of purchase and where i bought from here, so hopefully i get it.

Yes, will happen with apples charger, will probably be not as noticeable on the nomad especially black, as it ages, marks, scratches and is real leather, or get the new belkin.

I think so, too. I’m still going to stay away from using MagSafe chargers, though. I have two of them sitting in a drawer not being used.

I sold mine, if i get the magsafe case will also get the Belkin 3 x 1, but then i need the AirPods 2 wirelsss case lol, or that charger is wasted, damn never ends.
Or get nothing as i have the black nomad, samsung wireless charger and cable for AirPods.

If i go down the magsafe path would like the Brodit holder for my car but you have to use apples magsafe charger/holder, so another $200AUD for the set up.
Now i just use the cup holder as have wireless carplay so its just for the holder, but i hate vent holders.

Adding it all up would cost $650AUD to do all of the above, stuff that.

Just received my code. With tax and shipping the price comes out to $35. I’m not sure I wanna try the natural case again for my mini. Have the black on the way and the sheath as well.

Wow, that is a lot of money just tied up in chargers and the holder. I’m not sure what I’d do in that situation.

I didn’t check that one until you mentioned it. I agree, that doesn’t look good at all. I’d hate to be someone who doesn’t know about that and then has it happen to them unexpectedly.

What didn't you like about them? I had the Rugged for the Mini for a day before sending it back and it seemed comfortable to me.

I just wish Nomad had a non-rugged full leather version. I hardly drop my phone, if at all. Though I hear the Nomad leather is good, I'm not willing to take up the extra bulk and it changes the shape of the phone. Non-starter for me.
