My thought exactly. It would make me nervous to sit on an ultra high capacity battery all the time. That thing is gonna take a lot of mechanical stress.
exploding batteries aside - any time a wallet is old or cheap enough to create lumps or creases that diverge from a flat uniform surface can be felt on the derriere when sitting - and it's uncomfortable as hell. imagine that cylindrical bulge in the wallet's spine. awful - until a specific thickness of cards and cash balance it out - then you need to maintain that balance every time you add or remove anything. nothing in the 'specialty wallet' industry has been successful, cause a normal, unassuming wallet is the only thing that keeps you from noticing you're sitting on something in the first place.
Personally, I am trying to get rid of the wallet. Using Apple Pay will someday eliminate much of the need for the Wallet. Still need to figure out how to get the driver's license/identification into the iphone/watch and then, poof, no more wallet. Maybe a money clip for the occasional bills.
Actually Iowa is test driving digital DL. Hoping all states move to this quickly. Authenticate at bars, etc just like Apple Pay using Touch ID and NFC. They could easily do this and can't wait to not carry a wallet.
I don't like the idea of digital DL's. You would have to hand over your phone to an officer as they will be slow to have the tech, such as a hand held scanner to read it. Not that I have anything on my phone that I wouldn't show to anyone, But things could be 'added'. Just sayin'
