My order number is 1912 and I'm in backorder hell. These numbers mean nothing other than an order number. There's no connection.
 
Just spoke to another CSR- she did not seem very hopeful once she checked inventory levels for 128Gb SG + models. #ATTFAIL

I'm 1912 too. Ordered 3:48am EST, got the confirm email immediately, and the text at 9:01am. Also got the follow up email reiterating 10/2-10/13. Then nothing. 877 still says backordered.

Hopefully we'll get some movement this week as it's beyond ridiculous at this point.

I'm well aware of that. The point was that it's a little infuriating that the 6 can ship in less than 24 hours while my Plus is going on 18 days wait.

Gotcha. Didn't know what you were referring to in your post. Makes sense now. :)

Today is the day!

I ordered my 64 GB SG 6+ at 3:40 am EST on 9/12 and it is out for delivery today.

I ordered my wife's 64 GB Gold 6+ at 3:45 am EST on 9/12 and it is also out for delivery today.

The day is finally here and I can't stop refreshing the FedEx tracking page!

Hopefully all those still waiting will get theirs soon!

Been lurking on this board for about two weeks now..

I also ordered the 128G 6+ gold from at&t, 35 mins after the midnight launch. I was sleepy and just wanted to get back to bed so I ordered through at&t instead of apple, like i have always done in the past. I guess this is my punishement for needing sleep. Never again.:(

You could have slept in another 3 hours cause that was how late Apple was.
 
Hell he could have slept way into next week, ordered through Apple, and he'd STILL have his phone before us. #ATTFAIL :mad:

Apple knew their stock, Apple knew what they had available to ship and proactively developed site issues so they could pass the heat.

AT&T 's system was overwhelmed and they were caught in Apple's created firestorm. Were there honest reasons Apple opened for orders so late, they would have increased shipments to AT&T accordingly, they didn't.

And yes, AT&T handled it badly.
 
I received my SG 128GB 6+ today and it was worth the wait. But, the wait continues as the SG 128GB 6+ I ordered for my son right after placing my order is still on backorder.
 
I'm so enamoured with Apple right now...were it not bad enough my 128 gold 6+ is STILL in limbo along with a very few of you other remaining tortured souls on here pining for the same phone as me, I downloaded iOS 8.0.2 on my iPhone 5 last night, suddenly I'm unable to text photos outside of iMessage, my wifi isn't working, and it deleted ~500 photos I had stored on my iPhone....box of salt, meet my open wound!
 
So close to cancelling my preorder and ordering a 6. If I had known the wait for the 6 plus would be this long I would have just ordered a 6.
 
As crazy as it sounds after all this waiting, I'm about to cancel my order. This is a bunch of "Grade A" BS!! :mad:

...no way I am going to cancel. It can't be much longer...


Well after much soul searching and research I decided I would be happier with the 6 because I just don't want to carry something that big around for the next 2 years. So I called AT&T and canceled my order for the 6+ 128GB Gold. I reordered the 6 128GB Gold and now it has already shipped. :D

So I've been stalking idevicechecker.com and seaturtle.org and looks like a handful of SoCal apple stores have the 128gb gold 6+. So....
Should I or should I not cancel my AT&T order?

1. I can't reserve a phone for pickup because "I'm not eligible for an upgrade" since AT&T have me listed as just upgraded with the phone that's still back ordered.

2. Can't order t mobile contract free because, for some reason, they don't have that same model available when I choose t mobile contract free?

3. I can only imagine how smoothly refusing an iphone package from AT&T will go, since they are sooooo on top of handling all iphone 6 situations. That and getting my account situated after the refusal.

Ahhhhhhh! Help.
