not able to mount dmg files

I’m not able to install any applications. When I click on a .dmg file, nothing happens.

I also tried mounting the DMG using:

hdiutil attach /Users/aryan/Downloads/st-stm32cubeide_2.1.0_27993_20260219_1630_aarch64.dmg

but the command just gets stuck and doesn’t complete.

Could you please help me troubleshoot this?

If your Mac is corporate, your administrator may have very well disabled your ability to mount DMG image files via end point security software.
