Not getting email notification on S4

Having the same issues as well. This is my first Apple Watch, but notifications in general are sporadic even after selecting Custom.

Don’t mirror the iPhone, rather, choose custom and enable haptic etc per email account

that doesn’t work either, i tried that before...watch notifications are a mess under ios 12

Common sense would tell you that if email notifications are working for some, then far from being 'total garbage', this is likely a problem impacting some users for reasons that are rather less obvious than a bug or software implementation fault. That it isn't a total anything.

Likewise, that there are some posting that it impacts earlier models than S4 devices, that it isn't a series 4-specific issue either.

right i have 2 Series 3 ( one lte, one wlan model ) and the problem occurs on both

I had the same problem. Installed 5.1 beta and that fixed my problem.

At the moment, I am configuring my AW4. Hence the question. I have seen a few threads like this...

Everything EXCEPT Outlook is working for me. Well I hate Outlook anyway maybe this is a good thing?
