Wow. I am amazed how fast it is. And I thought the 5s was fast after these 2 years. Apple never seems to fail. Anyone else feel that this iPhone is the best upgrade ?
I feel like with all the improvements, this phone will last much longer than the standard two or so year shelf life of previous iPhones. It's substantially faster than the 6 which is extremely impressive since the 6 was no slouch. The only thing I can see Apple adding to the 7 would be a redesign, faster processor, and maybe a higher res screen. Those seem like useless upgrades imo since I can barely tell the difference between the 6 and the 6s+ screen even though it's twice the resolution with a higher PPI. Also, nothing is even close to utilizing the full A9 speed yet, so any improvement probably wouldn't be too noticeable for that. Who knows, I'll probably end up buying the 7 anyways, but the 6s is certainly a solid phone and will be for quite a while.

Same. I had the iPhone 4s for about 3 years and man that thing was a beast. This phone my last all the way till the iPhone 8s. That's crazy to think about

My thoughts on the 6S.......

I couldn't agree more. The 6 plus is the ugly stepchild. its the only iPhone I've ever regretted spending money on.

i am SO with you on this one. ive had 3gs, 4s, 5, and 5s, and enjoyed them all. the 6+, i hated it the whole time i had it. i even considered crossing over to the darkside, lol. anyhow, 6s is just awesome. warm fuzzies all around!!

There are a ton of upgrades in this iPhone release. I'm way more excited about the 6s Plus than I was about the 6, which I didn't intend to get in the first place (my 5s got caught in the rain). I'm constantly playing with the new live photos, new camera, and 3D Touch. The Touch ID so much better, too. I hope to find out it's better with sweat tomorrow at the gym.

I plan to keep my 6s Plus for at least 3 years unless Apple comes out with something completely mind-blowing before then.

I agree this is a big jump over the 6 but many members of the public won't get it because the physical design is the same, if only they could have improved the battery life and increased the display resolution, hopefully on the 7 they might . . .

Why do they need to increase the resolution?

At this point in time, yes. The 6s is easily the most comprehensive, and robust S phone to date. This is the beginning of a trend. Apple's "New Every 12" is far more than a simple finance plan. I have every expectation the A10 in the 7 will be as robust an increase especially in Graphics Performance. IMO, it's a fair assumption that Apple has many features in development waiting for the breakthrough hardware development. :apple:

The sooner the A-series SoCs get to desktop architecture, the sooner they can make an ARM-based MacBook.

I upgraded from my 6+ to the 6s+ and I'm really enjoying the phone so far. It's definitely faster than the 6+ and I love the 3D Touch, Live photos, and quicker Touch ID. Only thing I don't like is the occasional lag/freeze once my device wakes from TouchID and the home screen gets frozen for a second or two.

This is my iPhone that I upgraded after one year and I'll probably continue doing so.

I loved my 6 Plus, never had a single issue with it. Battery life was great and it operated smoothly in all tasks. I didn't even realize there was so much hate for the 6 Plus until I read these forums. I just ordered a 128 GB 6S Plus and expect to love it even more.

It's a pretty big upgrade after thinking about it. Upgraded camera both front n back, 4k, double ram, 50% faster CPU, upgraded gpu, stronger aluminum/glass, 3d touch.

It seems like the 7 will be new hardware, possibly new resolutions on new screen tech like oled or mled, but probably minor spec bumps internally.

I totally agree. I've bought every iPhone but this year's update is easily the most amazing ever. The jump in performance is just incredible. You have to see it to believe how smooth and beautiful everything becomes. 3D Touch is awesome. I thought it was a bit of a gimmick, but I immediately miss it when I'm using an older iPhone or iPad. The camera is easily the best ever in any smartphone. And the 4k video this thing is capable of shooting is just mind-blowing.

If anyone is on the fence about upgrading, I wouldn't hesitate to pull the trigger. These new iPhones are just so far ahead of everything else now - I'm embarrassed for the competition.

Best upgrades so far are the 5s and the 6s. I feel like the 5s is the best S upgrade ever especially with the introduction of touchId, a7/m7 coprocessor, dual flash, 64bit architecture.

5s
6s
4s
3gs

Should've taken out the rest but I'm too lazy to unbox them haha.

I heard several times in the workplace that the iPhone 6S is a very minor upgrade. That's how regular people buy phones: it must be a big upgrade if there is change in physical design.

I tried to 3D Touch my iPad Air 2 several times :(
