I wouldn't, the problem is the account, not the phone.

----------

You should try that account on the iPad. If it gets push on that then you have really confirmed that the account is bad.

Yahoo won't fix it.

Ok, well that's a bummer. Do you have any recommendations for who I should switch to. I'll admit that I am not very tech savvy, as you have probably realized by now. lol

I originally went with Yahoo because it seemed as though you could have unlimited amount of emails and I never had problems with sending or receiving photos...and of course it was free.

Any recommendations that would work better than the Yahoo would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks for all the help, by the way.

Okay, I will add my bad Yahoo account A onto my wife's iPad mini and see if I can get it to push to the iPad. I'm thinking it will not work, but it will be a good experiment none the less.

I'll report back in a short time with the results.

Okay, now either it's getting too late at night and I'm over tired or I am simply confused.

I just put my "bad" Yahoo account A onto my wife's iPad mini. I sent an email via my Mbp from account B to account A. It pushed the email to the iPad mini, but NOT to my iPhone 5.

So my iPhone 5 can receive pushed emails to the Yahoo account B, and to my wife's Yahoo account, but not my Yahoo account A.

But my wife's iPad mini can receive pushed emails to my bad Yahoo Account A.

Does this make any sense?

So I just removed my "bad" Yahoo account A from my iPhone 5. I shut the iPhone off, waited a few minutes, turned it back on (which I think reboots it), I re-added the "bad" Yahoo account A back onto the iPhone 5, put it in sleep and sent an email via the Mbp from Yahoo account B to the account A. It pushed to the iPad mini again instantly, but not to my iPhone.

So does this mean the account A is not bad, as it works fine in the iPad?

There must be a reason why both my Yahoo account B and my wife's Yahoo account works on my iPhone 5, and my Yahoo account A does not. I do not know what is different between the account A and the other two on the iPhone.

Any thoughts?

Edit. I just retried sending an email to my "bad" Yahoo account A and it DID NOT PUSH to either my iPhone 5 or my wife's iPad mini now. Where as earlier, it did at least push to the iPad.

Well, it's 12:30 am. Time for bed, tomorrow's another day.

Try turning off cellular data and turning on wifi. See if it pushes.

Hello HankHowdy,

Well the saga continues....

In all of my previous tests, the cellular data was turn on, but the phone was seeing my home's wifi.

I have now turned off the cellular data and now the phone is only connected to wifi.

I reinstalled the "bad" account A onto my wife's iPad again (which is only wifi, no cellular).

I sent my bad Yahoo account A an email via my Mbp and it pushed to the iPad, but not the iPhone.
