I have been reading reviews saying that you will forget about the notch. I have used the iPhone X (iPhone Xpensive?) a few times in the Apple Store and I still have not forgotten about the notch in full screen mode with that notch covering the left side of the screen.

If Apple was selling iPhones with thousands of dead pixels (which is similar to having a notch), those reviewers would be saying the same thing, that you will get used it?

Or you could just watch videos in their native aspect ratio, as the creator of that content intended. Then you won’t see the notch.

yeah normal videos don't impact the notch. you don't see it until you start watching some ultra wide screen films shot in 21:9 or more.

Are the rounded corners counted as dead pixels too then?

They aren't dead pixels because the OS was designed to ignore them and not put content there. The only case where it does is if you do edge to edge video playback. But with 16:9 youtube videos the notch isn't bothersome, people's foreheads getting cut off is (Which would still happen even if the notch wasn't there.) The only time fullscreen video makes sense is when it is cinema format widescreen (2.35:1)

Nope. The notch on top of the screen does not interfere with usage, unlike thousands of random dead pixels throughout the screen.
