Anybody else think it be a good idea in the future to add a notification light to the iPhone 6, that is one of the problems i find with the iPhone not knowing when you had a missed call or received a message, if your not constantly checking your phone all the time.

You can already sort of do this. There's an option within the Accessibility menu that uses the LED Flash for notifications, however, it doesn't "repeat".

It would be cool if the Touch ID sensor lit up for notifications.

Actually that would be cool, or better still just the outer ring lit up.

Apple is saving that for the iphone 6 when blackberrys are phased out and forgotten and then we would yell innovation! OMG

Most android phones have it already and have done for a while now, but apple could make it better patent it then SUE SUE SUE!!!! lol :p

yes! X1000

I'd like the whole phone to glow! Like an LED band around the frame. Or the Apple logo. An then it should pulsate slowly, like a MacBook in StandBy. The color of the LED should be white.

Or even better a projector which casts an Apple/Batman Logo into the sky.

Had an LED on my S4 and really liked it. I do miss that feature with my 5s. Someone should be able to figure out how to light up some pixels on the main screen for missed calls and texts. Emails can wait.

Notification light are so old school. I for one am glad it doesn't have one.

Really?

How is it old school being able to look at you phone from across the room and see if you had a message/call.

What would it hurt for Apple to add a tiny LED for this function?

For those who it would offend, you could turn it off but I am betting a multicolored LED that could be programmed for multiple functions would be very tempting, even for those who think it is old school.

Just remember how so many were against a 4" iPhone screen and now love it.

A 4.7" iPhone 6 will darn near kill some of you, but it is coming!:p

My old G2 had a little ring around the main button that lit up when I got notifications. It was really cool looking and I'd love to see Apple do the same with the touch ID ring on the next iPhone.

the LED flash isnt even an option for most people, seeing as it is too indiscreet. i really do hope the next iphone has a notification light. all current flagships have it already.

A notification light could end up being an annoyance. Given that you could potentially be notified when you miss a call, get a message, get an e-mail, get a reminder, get a calendar message...

I have a solution! Keep the phone in my pocket or near to me!

Or, simply turn the notification light setting off.

I'm curious to know though in which situations a notification light would be superior than to just press the lock button and see if you have any missed calls? Although that's not to say I won't appreciate a notification light for my future phone, but it's not something I've missed when using my iPhone.

Same here.... I had an Samsung Galaxy S4 to play with for a while and the light ends up blinking all the time.

So what's the point.
