OHMYGAWD I've seen this question like a million times already. It's a grill for the proximity sensors to hide under. The proximity sensors are black so they can't blend in the white iPhone casing like the black one does. And it's not green, it may be a reflection but I don't even see that color.

Yes, there are plenty of pictures out there of it straight on and its a series of little dots. Dots that don't show up on the black model.

Yes because the Prox sensors CAN blend in behind the glass of the black iPhone as all the previous iPhones have had.
